tentiary’s bigger and better than
ever Prison Rodeo.
Governor Allan Shivers will of-
ficially open the big convict rodeo
with members of the Texas Legis-
lature attending as guests of the
State Prison Board, and members
of the Texas Press and Radio will
be guests of the rodeo manage-
ment.
This and subsequent perform-
ances on the following October
Sundays, the 11th, 18th and 25th,
will feature the toughest of Tex-
as’ outlaw' riders contesting the

Guest stars being featured on
the opening Sunday show will be

vision stars. Curly Fox and Texas

ters of Dallas, Ted and Betty. The j
Harris County Sheriff’s Posse, a j
trained bull act by the Head Sis- j
ters, of Campbell, Tex, a trained 1
dog act by Jay Sisler, of Emmet, I
Idaho, and those zaniest of bull j
fighting clowns, John Lindsey and
Hoyt Hefner make up the list of
rodeo specialty acts booked for
the entire series of prison shows.
In addition, there will be convict
clowns with their own acts and
music by prison bands.
