Murphy. He was born January
30 at a Wichita Falls hospital
and tipped the scales at 7 lbs.
Tod has an older brother, David;
maternal grandparents, Mr. and
Mrs. Vincent Murphy of Wichita
Falls and Mr. and Mrs. Hayden
Carter, Sr., of Petrolia. Tod also
has several great grandparents
to welcome him home.
The Hayden Carters reside in

BLUEBIRDS MEET
The Best Bluebirds met Tues-
day at the First Christian church
parsonage. After a short busi-
ness meeting, the group played
games and sang songs. Refresh-
ments were served by the hos-
tesses, Delane McGriff and Jan
King.

STAGEBAND COMPETES
AT WICHITA FALLS
Saturday, Feb. 9, the Archer
City High School stage band will
go to Wichita Falls to participate
in a Stagehand Festival.
The stagehand will enter in
Class “A” and compete with area
bands from Holliday, Crowell and
Munday. They have been rehear-
sing for several weeks in prep-
aration for the festival to be
held at 11 id western auditorium
The stagehand is under the di-
rection of Larry Colvin.
