Leon Reese In Rites Here
Before a setting of woodwardia fern, white calla lilies, sweet-
peas and white tapers in candelabra, Miss Iris Muns, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. I. C. Muns, and Leon Reese, son of Mr. and Mrs.
J. C. Reese, of Abilene, exchanged wedding vows at 7:30 p. m.,
Saturday at the home of the bride’s parents.
Reflecting the couple was a large mirror directly over a mantle
flanked with white blossoms and greenery. The tall tapers cast
a glow over the wedding party.
J. P. Crenshaw read the mar-
riage ceremony, and Woodie
Holden, Abilene, pronounced
prayer.
As a prelude to the vows,
Mrs. J. C. McClure gave wedd-
ing music. She played "Hearts
and Flowers” and Miss Wilna
Ruth Muns, sister of the bride,
sang "I Love You Truly.” Dur-
ing the ceremony Mrs. McClure
played Lohengrin’s wedding
music.
The bride, given in mar-

For the wedding reception di-
rectly after the ceremony, the
(lining table was spread in a
handmade lace cloth, made by
the groom’s grandmother. It
was centered with a large cry-
stal bowl holding white Queen
Ann’s lace, and white sweet-
peas. The traditional tiered
wedding cake in white and blue
was cut by the bride and serv-
ed with punch. Crystal candle
holders and a crystal punch
bowl were used at either end
