Tarpley
By Mrs. John G. James
It is amazing how the oats
patches and grass have greened
up since the little sprinkle of
rain which fell on the 14th. Only
about 2/lOths of an inch fell in
the Tarpley area then, but some
places between Bandera and Me-
dina Lake had as much as 1.6
inch. The fog and drizzle have
helped a little too, but the old
dry earth is still crying for rain.
Most of the fruit trees are in full
bloom this week, andSveryone is
hoping that Old Jack Frost will
stay away until next winter.
The Tarpley Home Demonstra-
tion Club will meet at the home
of Mrs. A. W. Nichols at 2 p.m.,
next Thursday, March 1st. Mrs.
