Burglaries Plague Bandera
According' to Sheriff R. R. Mil-
ler, charges were filed CVednes- his parents here after burglaries
day against James R. Thomas, were reported a little after mid-

ed that three guns, two ra-
dios, and a chain saw were
recovered in the alley between
the drug store and Shackelford’s
Garage. These items were stolen
from Langford Hardware Store.
Across the street the burglar
broke the glass door in the hank
and entered. There he searched
the place for money and valu-
ables and scattered papers and
records around. He did not get
any thing there as far as could
be determined.
At Westerly Auto he broke in
the glass front door, entered and
took three rifles, a shot gun, a
tape recorder, three watches and
a chain saw. Little damage was
done there.
Sheriff Miller said he was in
custody here and will be turned
over to Federal authorities.

Mailboxes Stolen Clean-up Campaign
Thursday night tHeves stole
three mailhoxes located on the
Bandera-Kerrvilie Highway fi8H,
just out of Bandera. Mail boxes
taken were those belonging to
Dennis Duff. Calvin Callahan and
H. W. Goodenough.
Stealing or destroying govern-
ment property, mail boxes are
in this class, constitutes a fed-
eral offense, and those convicted
of this type of crime are suhject
to heavy penalties.

met Monday morning. March 18,
at 0 o\ lock in the Bandera
County Court room, with County
Chairman John Provance pre-
siding. Other members of the
committee present were E, H.
Wilkinson, V J Flowers, Adolph
SelVtt. Marvin Hay and Mrs.
John A’. Saul.
The fir-t business of the morn-
ing’s work was the setting of
the time and places for precinct
and county conventions.
In Precinc t No 3 the nrecinct
convention will he held after the
polls close at the May 4. Primary
Election. The time. 7:30 pm.
at the Medina School House.
The Precinct Convention for
Precinct No. 2 .will be held at
the Pipe Creek Community Cen-

In an impressive ceremony at
St. Stanislaus Catholic ' Church
in Bandera Saturday. March 10th,
Mrs. Marie Krueger of Bandera
and Tommy Anderwald of White
, Deer, Texas, were united in mar-
riage by Msgr. Paul J Ehlingrr
at an evening mass with mem-
bers of the immediate families
attending.
A. J. Mazurek of Fort Worth,
cousin of the groom, served as
best man and Mrs. Constance
Gerdes of Uvalde, sister of the
bride, was matron of honor.
John and Mike Tdch served as
altar hoys and M’s. Alfred An-
derwald played organ selections
during the ceremony. Altar
flowers were sen: arrangement.-
of stock and daffodils.
The bride chose a chartreuse
dress of lace and i ubby silk with
co-ordinating accessories and
"wore a corsage of yellow roses.
Mrs. Gerdes was dressed in a
bone colored silk suit with matrh-
ing accessories Her corsage
was a cymbedium orchid. Mrs.
Alex Mangold, mother of the
bride, wore a pad ey blue crepe
and a corsage of pink carnations.
. Following the ceremony, a bar-
becue dinner was served at the
St. Joseph's School auditorium.
An arrangement of spring flow-
ers centered the serving table.
After returning from a wed-
ding trip. Mr. and Mrs. Ander-
wald will be making their home
at White Deer and Medina Lake
Mrs. Anderwald recontiv re-
, signed as cashier of the Fir t
National Bank of Bandera where
she had been employed for the
past eighteen year-. She lias
been active in civic and social
affairs of the community and is
held in high esteem by friends
throughout this area.
Mr. Anderwald, a native of
Bandera and a son of the late'
Mr. and Mrs. Felix Anderwald,
lias resided in the White Deer
and Pampa area for many years.
He i- actively engaged in irrigat-
ed farming and i'= a prominent
stockman of that locale.
The Bulletin joins tl < many
friends of the happy couple in
extending congratulations and
best wishes..
Among the out-of-town guest-
attending the wedding were Mr
nnd Mrs. Robert Anderwald and
son, Aaron, of Pampa; Mr and
Mrs. Gregory Rapstinc of Claude;
Mr. and Mr-- A. J. Mazurek of
Fort Worth; Cera, Bud, and Clem
Holzhaus of Fan Antonio; and
Mrs. Constance Gerdt - and sons,
Steve and Randy, of Uvalde.
