Centennial Schedule Takes Form
The Dally Activities
Schedule for the eight days
of the Archer County
Centennial is In the final
stages of completion and
be available to- the
pabiic by early next week.
The Scotland Annual Picnic
will kick off the celebration
on June £9, to be followed
by Youth and Sports Day,
Ladies Day, Oil Day,
Heritage and Patriotic Day.
Pioneer Day, Country Living
and Agriculture Day, and
Look to the Future. Each
day will be filled with
activities of all kinds.
ranging from dominoe and
horseshoe tournaments to
style shows, tobacco and
watermelon seed spitting
contests, and tug-o-wars.
The high light of each day
will be the spectacular
production of Archer
County's history to be
presented at Berry Stadium
db a specially constructed
250 foot stage. A free street
dance featuring “Country
Gass” will be held on the
Courthouse square the night
of July 3, 4 and 5.
The big parade is scheduled
for July 3rd, and an air show
is set for July 5. Watch for
the complete schedule of
these and ail of the other
activities next week.
