suntan may make you “feel
healthy,” years of tanning
or of working outdoors may
lead to a condition called
solar keratoses, which in
some cases can become
malignant. Symptoms in-
clude irregular, red, scaly
patches, usually on the
hands and face. If you’ve
got them, see a doctor.
Doctors sometimes use a
prescription drug solution

often prescribed with good

live extremely long lives,
well past 100. The greatest
authenticated age was
claimed by Shigechiyo
Uzumi of Japan, bom in
1864 and now still alive at
the age of 117. His advice
for a long life: watch tele-
vision and don’t worry.
