fiext Fewr Weeks
Is Best Time
To Plant Flax
“The next few weeks are the
best time to plant Flax,” according
to A. C. Dillman, manager of the
Texas Flax Improvement Associa-
tion.
While the exact date may de-
pend on the moisture condition of
the soil, Flex sown anytime before
December 20 can generally be
counted on to produce good yields
in south Texas. Once Flax reaches
th& 2-leaf stage and until it
blooms, it is able to withstand con-
siderable freezing. Planting at the
recommended time allows it to
Kenedy and Taft.
