Application blanks have been re-
ceived to obtain headstones for
all unmarked Soldipr graves Any-
one Interested in marking such
graves please contact Mrs. E. J.
Heuermann, Odem. For the infor-
mation of interested parties we
quote the following:
"A headstone will be furnished
by the government, tree of cost,
for the unmarked grave of any in-
dividual whose last service in the
Military or Naval forces of the
United States or of the Confeder-
ate States Army was honorable.
The Stone will be shipped, freight

prepaid, to the nearest railroad sta-
tion or steamboat landing to the
cemetery in which the Veteran is
.burled. All expenses incident to
hauling the stone from the station
to the cemetery and its erection at
the grave must be paid from pri-
vate funds. Unless arrangements
can be made to remove the stone
from the freight station at private
expense, application for headstones
should not be made.”
All stones are of American white
marble and are shipped in approx-
imately 60 days. Orders for 3 or
more stonee are shipped sooner
than the single order.

accident Saturday. VVhile seated
in a chair in the Star Hardware
Store befqre a glass display case
he became overbalanced and fell
backwards into the glass.. One
sliver of glass penetrated his 'back
to a depth of two and one-half inch
es. He was given medical aid and
the wound was found not serious.
Mr. Wilson was confined bo his
room for a day or two, but is out
again attending to business a3 us-
ual.
