quick mind by giving them the proper foods they need. We carry
the very best in Groceries that can be had and you may rest assured
of getting the very best on the market when you trade with us. We
can make a number of suggestions for that lunch you will have to
prepare for the kiddies each day. We want you to know that we
apprecite your patronage and will do everything possible to

too high, or he fails to let the
people know the character of the

New Orleans, La.. Sept. 1.—
Thursday night will be the last
time in which the "klans of
Louisiana will meet officially as
the Ku Klux Klan. the Times-
Picayunc says \\ ednesday. Af-
ter that date there will be no offi-
eial organization of the klan in
the State, the membership being
directly under the national head-
quarters at Atlanta.
Continuing the article says:
“The antisecrecy laws passed by
the recent Legislature requiring
all organizations to file a list of
their members with the Secretary
ot State in December each year
and which 1 liis year must show
the membership from Sept. 1 is
the cause of the klan deciding
upon this course. The law re-
quires the officials ot an organi- |
zation to file the list, and the only |
penalty provided is against the
official's who failed to make such j
sworn lists. There are now no j
State officials, these having been j
removed recently by Imperial
Wizard Evans.
“The exalted cyclops have con-
tinued as the official heads pf the
organization in each parish, but;
they will go out of office, so far
as the law can reach them after,
Thursday night. After that date
when klansmen meet, they will
just meet, that's all. They may ■
still recognize their exalted cy-j
clops as such, but he will not be j
recognized enough for the law to ,
demand why he has not filed a
list of members of his organi-
zation.”
