ned to Houston Wednesday
after a visit to relatives.
Mrs. Wm. Frankenhauser of
Route 5 who suffered a pain-
ful injury of the right knee
last Saturday when thrown
from the buggy in which she
was riding enroute to town
was brought in the ambulance
of Anton J. Kubena to the
Renger Hospital last Monday
afternoon where an X-Ray ex-
amination was made of the in-
jured member .
The examination showed
there was no injury of the
bone. She was taken1 home
Tuesday and is now getting
along as well as could be
expected .

YOUNG FARMER TAKES
OWN LIFE
Henry Koch, a prominent
young farmer who resided one
mile south of Moulton com-
mitted suicide late Tuesday af-
ternoon by hanging himself.
His lifeless body was found by
his wife in the barn at the
home. As well as we could
learn no motive was given for
the rash act. Some of the re-
latives and friends of the un-
fortunate man stated he was

A. Finkelstein who attended
the district meeting of the
Odd Fellows at Gonzales last
week was made honorary pre-
sident of the association for
life.
The district association of
Odd Fellows was organized
in Cuero twenty-four years ago
with five charter members of
which Mr. Finkelstein is the
last one of the surviving
charter members.
The honor goes to one that
is deserving as Mr. Finkelstein
has been a member of the or-
