'TEEN FORUM' SET
BY BRADFORD
REXALL DRUG
Announcement of the second
annual Nation-wide "Teen Forum,”
open to local teen-agers, has been
made by Bill Hall of Bradford
Rexall Drug.
Mr. iHall believes that the na-
tion’s druggists are responsible,
civic - minded individuals, who
share a national concern for the
growing incidence of high school
drop-outs. The emphasis on this
problem was developed at the re-
quest of Vice-president Humphrey.

Teen-agers will be invited to
speak out on this problem of drop-
outs by means of essays on the
theme: “How I, as a Teen-ager,
Can Encourage My Fellow Stu-
dents to Continue Their Educa-
tion.’ Two finalists (a boy and a
girl) will be selected from each
state on the basis of their essays
and will be flown to Washington,
D. C.. to participate in the Teer.
Forunt.
Two national champions (again
a boy and a girl) will be selected
from among the state finals on
the basis of their essay, and will
be given a trip to Borne. Athens,
and cities of the Middle East to see
first-hand these lands where our
civilization began.
Hal1! emphasized that this is not
a "commercial contest"—that is,
no purchases are required for en-
tering.
The program opened April 1,
and free enrollment forms are
available at Rexall Stores through-
out the nation. Participation is
limited to teen-agers who are still
in high school.
Mr. Hall pointed out that the
1965 Teen Forum was awarded
the Ceorge Washington Honor
Medal by the Freedoms Founda-
tion at Valley Forge and that one
of the grand national champions.
Charles Scalise, student of Balti-
more, Md„ was also so honored by
the Freedoms Foundation.
