Association will meet in the Audi-
torium at 3:45 p.m. Monday, No-
vember 5th After a very brief re-
port on the Hallowe’en Carnival,
Mrs. Joe K Taylor will review "Up
Front.” This book was written by
Sgt. Bill Mauldin, who served as
top cartoonist on the staff of "Stars
and Stripes." The book carries some
of his cartoons, along with his story
This has been the most-talked of
book of the year and it was the
choice of the “Book of the Month”
Club for July, 1945. Many critics
have compared It favorably with
Ernie Pyle's "Brave Men.” Sgt
Mauldin Is adept at depleting what
the boys think and feel.
