lived most of my life in Coleman
County. 1 attended the Burkett
and Coleman Schools. 1 am
employed as an Electrical Fore-
man for the City of Coleman.
My wife, Sue, and I have-five
children. Three of these chil-
dren are still in school. 1 am a
Christian and Sunday School
Superintendent of the Em-
manuel Baptist Church.
I believe everyone has the
right to an education regardless
of race, color, creed or social
standing. I also believe that
everyone connected in any way

Brownwood was a weekend
guest with her grandparents,
Mr. and Mrs. Darwin Lovelady
in Santa Anna. The grandpar-
ents took her home Sunday and
visited in the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Randel Lovelady, and also ^
with Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Elkins
of Brownwood,
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Watts of
Benbrook were weekend guests
of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Vinson.
Mr. and Mrs. Ilarwin Love-
lady of Santa Anna visited with
her sister, Mr. and Mrs. Lon
Minica in Brownwood Satur-
day. Mr. and Mrs. Elec Cooper
of Rockwood were bedtime
guests of Mr. and Mrs. Darwin
Lovelady in Santa Anna Satur-
day night.

The 5th Sunday singing here
at Trickham Sunday evening
was very good-so many good
singers from so many places
were here. It sounded like a
convention singing. Joe Stacy
had charge of it and he does a
good job. We always enjoy the
Walter Newmans and the
Saturday evening.
Dr. Norman Fry’s mother,
Mrs. Fry, and her sister and
husband, Mr. and Mrs. Evert
Shipp of Midland, are here at
the Fry home. The Shipps will
be here until Wednesday. Nor-
man and Sara Fry, Susan and
Jeff of Midland will be here
Robert Arnolds. Jo Grant also 'Thursday; also her brother,
helped out with the singing and Robert and Jeanie Garner and

long run, but deceit leads in
many of the short races.

This Summer with an
playing the piano; several other
ladies helped out too. There
were so many good singers I
could not.pame them all. Also
had a good crowd out to hear
the singing. I am sure that
makes the singers want to sing
better.
Next Sunday will be Easter
Sunday and Rev. Franklin
Swanner will preach at 11 a.m.
Sunday, April 13, will be the
annual Cemetery Meeting and
Homecoming. There will be
special music. The memorial
sermon will be at 11 a.m. at the
church with Rev. Howell Mar-
tin as speaker. A short business
meeting will follow. A basket
lunch will be served at noon at
the Community Center and
there will be visiting and sing-
ing in the afternoon at the
church. Make plans to come and
meet with friends and neigh-
bors.

Moore who had dinner with
them; LaVerne McClatchy and
daughter Jeanie Dreinhofer
who visited Sunday evening.
Mrs. Vera Shield of Santa
Anna and her daughter, An-
nelle Clark of Wisconsin and
her daughter, Judy Adolphson
and daughter. Sara of Seattle,
Wash, had dinner with the

their home by plane, and An-
nelle will be with her mother
through April for a visit.
Bernice Mclver visited us

spend this week with the
grandparents.
Marvin and Ruth Smith visit-
ed the Walter Stacys Thursday

Anna and Wayne Munn and
boys, Todd and Dean, of Midkiff
are spending about a week with
her parents, the Marvin
Smiths. The karvin Smiths and
their daughter and family visit-
ed at Clifton Saturday with her
sister and family, Mr. and Mrs.
Belford Ellingson and son and
wife and baby. Mr. and Mrs.
Shipp and Mrs. Fry from Mid-
land visited the Smiths Sunday
evening. Also Grady and Genia
Mclver visited them.
Russie James and Lou
Vaughn visited Tuesday night
with the Shipps and Mrs. Fry
and Sunday night Lou Vaughn,
Oma Lee Dockery and Russie
James visited them.
The good news-we got a
good rain; jibout IV2 inches
reported air around in our
community and some hail north
of Trickham, but we did not get
hail.

weekend with her mother,
Mary Lea Mitchell. Betty Miller
and Damon J. of Austin came
Saturday and will spend this
week with her mother. They
have a spring break from
school.
We were sorry to hear of the
death of Dayle Nolen, who
passed away with a heart
attack on Tuesday, March 25, in
Norway. He and his wive were
over there for a three year
term, where he was a super-
visor of offshore drilling opera-
tions for Phillips 66 Petroleum.
Dayle was reared at Trickham
and attended school at Santa
Anna where he graduated ii)»
1943. On Sept. 1, 1944 he
married Jankana Vercher of
Shields community. His burial
will be April 4 at Bay City.
Survivors include his wife; one
son Michael of Sweeny; a
daughter Tressia of Houston
and three grandchildren;
Mrs. Stuart's
Son Dies Mon.
Walter Stuart, age 49, of
Cleburne, son of Mrs. Henry
Stuart of Coleman, died sud-
denly of a heart attack at his
home on Monday, March 31, at
5:15 p.m.
Mr. Stuart was reared at
White Chapel and attended
high school at Centennial.
Other survivors include his
wife, Sue; a daughter, Sherrie;
