tainly enjoying these joint

We want to thank Billy
Jack Dawson for bringing
out his band and singing
group. They are a good
group of youngsters that*'
love to sing “to the glory of
the Lord.” The group is
made up of young people
from the Valera Church,
Glen Cove Church and
some from Coleman.
The Glen Cove Baptist
Church was happy to have
several visitors in church
Sunday morning. Among
them were two of Beulah
Helm's sisters. We wel-
come visitors any time. We
hope to have lota of visitors
with us next week during
the revival, Aug. 7-14. Bro.

will be the speaker and
Grady Frank Laws of
Valera will be song leader.

Maurice Curry
In Santa Anna
Maurice Curry, 71, of
Fort Worth, formerly of
Santa Anna died Tuesday,
August 2,1988 at 5:45 a.m.
at Quaker Villa Nursing
Home in Lubbock. Funeral
services were this morning
(Thursday) at 10:30 at
First United Methodist
Church of Santa Anna with
DT. Vaughan Baker, pas-
tor, officiating under the
direction of Henderson
Funeral Home, Santa
Anna.
Born July 29, 1912 in
Santa Anna, he was the
son of Cecil Alva and
and Myrtle Curry. He gra-
duated from Santa Anna
High School in 1980. He
resided in Santa Anna be-
fore moving to Ft. Worth
in the 1940’?. On July 3,
1954, he married Virginia
Pieratt in Santa Anna. She
preceded him in death on
February 10,1979. He^waa
a building contractor, retir-
ing in 1974. He was a
Methodist.
Survivors include two
sisters, Mrs. G. A. (LaRue)
Morgan of Santa Anna and
Mrs. Jack (Mary) Ogle of
Lubbock; two nieces and
four nephews.
