B. Miller’s home was the scene of
a very attractive garden party last j
Friday evening from six to eight
o’clock, which was given by mem-
bers of the Coleman Garden Club.
Guests were greeted by Mrs. K. H.
Flewellen and Mrs. Miller and were
•eked to register.
Miss Doris Miller presided at the
refreshment table with Mrs. Frank
Rogers and Miss Charlaie Wood-
ruff assisting ' Punch was served
from a huge block of ice which
had a beautiful spray of colendti-
las. daisies and fern frozen In the
center of it. Cake squares in pas-
tel shades were served with the
punch.
About 100 guests called during
the evening. Out of town guests

Vance, who is only fifteen years
old. was the valedictorian of the
graduating class of 440 students,
the largest high school -enior class
of the south.

Mrs. Walter Woodward was hos-
tess to the Thursday Bridge Club
last Thursday afternoon when the
club met for the weekly luncheon
at the Manhattan Cafe.
Contract bridge was enjoyed fol-
lowing the lunche'on at the home
of the hostess. High score prize
in club was won by Mrs. J. F.
Henderson, Jr., with that for high
guest going to Mrs. F. M» Burke

o’clock, at the home of Rev. W.
H. Woolard, pastor of the First
Christian church, who read the
ceremony. Miss Fay Kinney w

Mrs. Lively, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. W. G McKtnney, is a grad-
uate of Coleman high school and
was a member of the high school
orchestra and band. She was also
a member of the choral club. She
Is a talented musician, and has been
pianist for the First Christian
church since she was twelve years
old.
Mr. Barnhrirt fa a-'*graduat<* of
Galnesvjlle high school where his
parents live, later attending A. A
M. college where he received the
B. S. degree. He is assistant
county agent of Eastland county.
Mr. and Mrs. Barnhart left im-
mediately after the ceremofiy for
Gainesville to visit his parents.

Miss Jennie Lee Dibrell was hos-
tess Wednesday afternoon when she

bridge, followed by a swimming
party and dancing. Present for

They were joined at the old lake
