The annual meeting, of tile Tn-

Thirteen wilt be held ttt Howard
l*ayne College, Brownwood, on
Friday and Kuturday/April 21 and
22. The literary and tennis event*
>vill begin, at 10 a. rn., Friday. Op-
ening exercises and announcements
will be in the Mlmi building. Ath-
letic preliminaries will begin at
»:30 Saturday, at the Howard
Payne athletic park.
Medals will be awarded to win-
ners of first, second and third
places. Rooms will be provided
for coaches and contestants who
will be guests on Friday night.
County meets have four new
contestants' in declamation for
lHSfl. Contestants will be held
for—junior and , senior' boys and
girls from ward schools or gram-
mar grades. In. the district meet
for these contests the Junior boys
and girls will participate in sep-
arate contests with the Jnnlor dec-
lamation* a: (Me auditorium "f the
F/rst Baptist church Immediately
following the opening exercises.
The senior boys ana girls of 'the
ward schools will be merged wltii
the high school seniors and par-
ticipate In the contests hed In the
Mims auditorium following open-
ing exercises.
District Thirteen Is composed of
the following counties: Brown.
Coleman. Comanche, Hamilton,
McCulloch, Menard, Mason. Mills,
and .Sail Saba. County conte*bi
arc held three weeks preceding
the district contests.
Since 'the district irt composed of
less than ten counties, both first
and second place winners In all
declamation contests in the' count
W men* will be eligible to parti-
cipate in the district contests. No

contests except the finals in field
