Nail, and the others, the of-
fense was able to record five
first downs and 207 total
yards. Having another 100
yard day was Russell Best
who scampered 153 yards on
10 carries, and one touch-
down. Complimenting this
performance was Jose Lira, 6
carries for 54 yards, and one
touchdown. John Dyer pro-
vided the winning margin by
hauling in a pass from Jared
Miller for the two point con-
version following the second
touchdown.
The defense gave up 10
first downs and 203 total
yards. However, time after
time they arose to the occa-
sion and stopped the Chap-
arrals. Interceptions were
registered by Wesley
McAnear, Jared Miller, and
Jose Lira who also had a
fumble recovery.
Now that this young team
has learned the importance
of "strapping it on" for every
game, they will be ready to go
when they visit Chico Thurs-
