“Know Yourself" Clothing Key of the clothing specialist. All 4-H
Americans have more clothes per members should plan to attend the

ple in the world. Since we have ! munity. Check with local leaders,
many changes for sports, school,, If you are heavy, choose darker
dress, and work, consumer aware-1 colors and flat textured materials,
ness in clothes buying has become j Firm, non-clinging fabrics which
very important in our society. Here ' drape well are best for the heavy
are some suggestions for personal, figure. Rough fabrics such as
wardrobe planning. | tweeds, loosely woven knits, and
rough linens tend to make you look
larger because of the light reflec-
tion.
Bold patterns and bright colors
make figures look larger, as do
pastels.
It’s fun to be daring occasionally
but most budgets can’t afford to
accomodate every change of fash-
ion. If you think a new style is re-
latively suitable for your figure,
try an inexpensive copy at first. If
you still like it after wearing it a
few weeks, invest in a better qua-
lity one and wear it often—before
the style goes out.

7-Numeral Numbers Due in
Jacksboro in October
l FFECTIVE with the issuance of a new
telephone directory here next October, all
Jacksboro telephone numbers will be
changed from two letters and five numerals
to seven numerals.
Jacksboro thus will join many other
Southwestern Bell exchanges which have
this new numbering system, known as All
Number Calling. ANC is already in use in
many other parts of the nation.
The present prefix, “L0 7,” will be
changed to “567.” In most cases, the last four
digits of each telephone number will remain
unchanged.
For example, LO7-3570 will become
567-3570.
Some Numbers Change
However, it will be necessary to change
numbers between LO 7-4000 and LO 7-4999
to the corresponding number in the 567-5000
series.
For example,
567-5501.
LO 7-4501 will become
This change is necessary, for technical
reasons, to pave the way for future telephone
improvements for Jacksboro.
All the new seven-numeral numbers will
be included in the next telephone directory.
Why the change to All Number Calling?
The reason we’re eliminating central office
names is simple. On a nationwide basis, we’re
running out of suitable, easy-to-pronounce-
and-understand names. All Number Calling
gives us about 50 percent more usable tele-
phone numbers. We need these new numbers
to keep up with the demand for service.
Most Stationery Still Good
Since ‘“LO 7” and “567” are the same on
the dial, most customers can continue to use
stationery and other printed material bearing
the “LO 7” telephone numbers after the
change. However, all customers will want to
be sure to remember to use their new num-
ber in ordering material to be used beginning
with next October.
Direct instance Dialing
Another important telephone change in
the offing for Jacksboro is the introduction
of Direct Distance Dialing in 1968.
DDD will permit you to dial your Long
Distance station-to-station calls as easily as
you dial local calls.
"V^/e believe that you will find the new
up-to-date numbering system simple and
more trouble-free to use. All Number Calling,
together with Direct Distance Dialing, will
be major steps in improving telephone serv-
ice, and will help to keep Jacksboro in the
forefront of telephone progress.
