CLABBER JUNCTION.
Jan. io,—Well as we have be»n
silent for some time, will make
our appearance once more and
tell the happening in this part.
Cotton is about all out and I ex-
pect it is a good thing. For nearly
everybody is down with bad colds,
so they could not pick much more.
Mr. Pucket Duncan is very sick
at this writing, Dave Lamb is also
on the sick list.
Our school is progressing nicely
with Miss Katye Hilton of Jacks-
boro as teacher.
The year 1909 opened very
prosperous for Mr. Charlie Loyd.
His father made him a preseut of a
very fine horse and buggy. It
knocks all the shine off of Worth
Shonafelts auto in the streets of
Bryson. When the ladies see old
“gunbarrell” coming down the
lane they begin powdering their
faces and rustling their bats for a
breezy ride.
Mr. John Duncan gave a party
a few nights ago, a large crowd was
present and all enjoyed themselves
fine.
Mr. R. L. Martin of Gertrudes
visited his brother Mr. S. J. N.
Martin the past week.
Mr. Harvie Duncan is with us
agajn after an absence of a month.
Mr. Jerry Rhoades is building
a house on his land near Clabber
Junction.
Mr. Will Snow of Loug Hollow
has moved up on Mr. Ben Clen-
denens place.
Mr. and Mrs. John Downing has
moved on the Geo. Kinder Place.
With best wishes to the News
and its many readers I will ting
off till next time. Windy Bill.

In memory of Mrs. Miles Luttrell
who passed to the other shore
Nov. 23, 1908. The subject of
this sketch was the daughter of
Mr. W. D. Martin, born in Ala-
bama December 8 1878.
At the age of 14 she made pro-
fession of Christ and lived a life
of a true follower of the roaster
until called home. On July 5 1896,'
she was united in marriage with
Miles ^uttrell.
To this union was born six child-
ren. She leaves husband, little
ones, father, mother, brothers and
sisters and many friends to mourn
her passing away. A true Chris-
tian, dutiful wife and daughter a
cherished mother gone.
Let our prayer be that we may
so live that we may meet Sister
F,ditli in the city of God.
A Friend.
