Mr. and Mrs. John William Guinn.
Photographs by Carl
Morgan-Guinn United In
Double Ring Ceremony
Miss Madonna Eliza-
beth Morgan became
the bride of John
William Guinn on her
birthday, November 3,
at 6:00 p.m. in the First
Presbyterian Church of
Jacksboro. Parents of
the couple are Mr. and
Mrs. Wayne Morgan of
Jacksboro, and Mr. and
Mrs. J.D. Guinn, also of
Jacksboro. Officiating
at the double ring
ceremony was Rev. Ken
Cuppett, pastor of the
Central Christian
Church of Weatherford.
Music was provided
by Mrs. Austin Best of
Jacksboro and Mrs.
Vicki Fry, sister of the
groom, sang, "You
light Up My Life".
A dozen long stem
red roses were placed
on the alter, a birthday
gift from the groom.
White mums decorated
the organ and were
brought by Mrs. Marie
Leckemby of Jacks-
boro, grandmother of
the bride.
Given in marriage by
her father, the bride
chose an elegant white
polyester organza
gown lined with acetate
taffeta. The gown was
designed with exquisite
cotton venise lace
enhancing the bodice
and trimming the full,
sheer long sleeves.
Matching lace formed
the wrist cuffs. Edged
in delicate lace, the
scooped neckline was
raised in back. The
flowing A-line skirt
featured curves which
sweep to a chapel train.
Her tiered chapel
length veil of illusion
was edged with Chan-
tilli lace and held in
place by a juliet cap of
imported satin. Her
keepsake bouquet of
peach colored silk roses
was centered with
white silk orchids and
was completed with
white silk streamers
trimmed in lace.
For something old
the bride wore a ruby
ring belonging to the
grooms grandmother.
Something new was
her dress. Her veil
which were worn at the
ceremony was borrow-
ed from Mrs. Bobby
Malone and the one
worn at the reception
was borrowed from
Mrs. Pam Marshall
She wore a blue garter
and pennies were
placed in her shoes
bearing the birthyears
of the bride and groom.
The pennies were given
to the bride by her
brother, Paul Morgan
of Jacksboro.
As the bride ap-
proached the alter, she
presented single long
stem silk red roses to
her mother and grand-
mother. As the couple
left the alter, the bride
presented the groom's
mother and grand-
mother, Mrs. Iva
Farmer of Graham,
with long stem red
roses.
Serving as maid of
honor was Miss Janna
Guinn, sister of the
groom. Bride's maid
was Mrs. Kerry Mor-
gan, sister in law of the
bride and Miss Karrie
Thompson of Garland,
niece of the bride, was
junior bride's maid.
The bride's attend-
ants wore floor length
gowns of gauze design-
ed with gathered bodice
and featuring pencil
straps. The full gather-
ed skirts were designed
with tiers of white,
peach and burgandy.
Triangle capes of peach
were fitted over the
shoulders and tied in
front. The junior bride's
maid wore a floor
length gown of peach
with a peach and
burgandy band at the
waist. The attendants
wore crowns of mina-
ture peach and rust silk
carnations and each
carried a single long
stem peach silk rose.
Serving as best man
was Mike Guinn,
brother of the groom.
Groomsman was Paul
Morgan, brother of the
bride and Joe Guinn,
brother of the groom,
served as junior
groomsman. Ushers
were Corry Blount, III,
of Wichita Falls,
brother in law of the
bride, Les MeGehee of
Garland, brother in law
of the bride and Corry
Blount, IV, nephew of
the bride, who escorted
both mothers and
grandmothers.
Residing at the
registeration table was
Mrs. Marie Guinn,
sister in law of the
groom. The round
antique table which
belonged to the bride's
great grandmother was
covered with a lace
cloth and held a white
bud vace of silk peach
roses.
Following the cere-
mony, a reception was
held in the National
Guard Armory at Lake
Jacksboro. The bride's
table was covered with
an antique white
embroidered linen
cloth. Peach colored net
edged the table in
scollops held in place
with peach ribbon.
Centering the table was
the three tiered wed-
ding cake designed by
Janell May. Ivory
columns seperated the
tiers which were topped
with cascades of peach
colored candy roses.
Bridal roping and
peach rosebuds en-
hanced the sides of the
cake. The anniversary
layer was topped with
white milkglass bride
and groom statuettes
standing in a cascade
of peach roses.
Peach colored punch
was served from a cut
glass antique bowl held
by a matching pedes-
tal.
The groom's table
was covered with an
antique lace cloth with
an underlay of white.
Centering the table was
a silver candle holder
featuring long tapered
green candles. Flank-
ing the candles were
white cut glass doves.
The groom's cake was
made in the design of a
base guitar covered
with light green
frosting and placed on
a dark green base.
Members of the house
party were Mrs. Melody
MeGehee of Garland,
Mrs. Sabrina Jacobson
of Van Alstyne and
Mrs. Lucinda Blount of
Wichita Falls, all
sisters of the bride.
Following the recep-
tion, a dance was held
featuring the Guinn
Family.
For her daughter's
wedding, Mrs. Morgan
chose a three piece
street length dress of
pale pink quana. Mrs.
Guinn chose a burgan-
dy silk street length
dress. Both mothers
wore large silk orchid
corsages.
For her wedding trip,
the bride chose black
tweed pants with a
high neck black sweat-
er and a white over
sweater. The groom
wore a suit of dark
brown with a light
brown shirt of crushed
velvet, a gift from the
bride. The groom's gift
to the bride included a
memory candle sur-
rounded by roses and a
pair of diamond ear-
rings.
A rehersal dinner
was hosted by the
parents of the groom in
the fellowship hall of
the church November 2.
Gifts were presented to
the attendands by the
couple and all of the
children of Mr. and
Mrs. Morgan presented
them a gift marking
their 30th wedding
anniversary.
The bride was hon-
ored with a miscella-
eous shower October 23
in the community room
of the Jacksboro
National Bank. Host-
esses were Mrs. Vicki
Fry, Mrs. Marie Guinn,
Miss Janna Guinn and
Mrs. Kerry Morgan.

bride are Mrs. Marie
Leckemby of Jacks-
boro, Phil Thurman of
