The Farmer Won
A close-fisted farmer supplied
to a local house three dozen eggs
every week. One week he found
that he had accidentally sent one
egg too many. Determined not to
lose on the deal, he called at the
house. "Mr. Smith,” he said, "I
sent along one egg over the three !
dozen this week.”
"Surely you’re not going to wor-
ry over a little thing like that,”
Mr. Smith said. "Let’s settle it
with a drink. What will you
have?”
"Eggnog.” was the farmer's re-
ply.
Out on a Limb
"Is it true that it cost $25 to
have your family tree looked up?”
"Well, not exactly. I paid $5 to
have it looked up and $20 to have
it hashed up.”

Backache
May Warn of Disordered
Kidney Action
Modern life with its hurry and worry,
trregular habits, improper eating and
drinking—its risk of exposure and infec-
tion—throws heavy strain on the work
of the kidneys. They are apt to become
over-taxed and fail to filter excess acid
and other impurities from the life-giving
blood
You may suffer nagging backache,
headache, dizziness, getting up nights,
leg pains, swelling—feel constantly
tired, nervous, all worn out. Other signs
of kidney or bladder disorder are some-
times burning, scanty or too frequsnl
urination.
Try Ooon’e Pille. Doan'e help the
Iddneys to pass off harmful excess body
waste. They have had more than half s
century of public approval. Art recom-
