Rites Held Tuesday
Jesse W. Shields, 80, former
resident of Jacksboro, died Sat-
urday at his home in Fort
Worth, after a short illness.
Funeral services were held at
1 p.m. Tuesday in Fort Worth
with burial in Lynn Creek
Cemetery near Jacksboro.
Survivors are his wife; two
daughters, Mrs. Inez Frame of
Oklahoma City and Mrs. Vera
Young of Fort Worth; seven
sons, Jasper and Herschel
Shields of Jacksboro, Jarrett
Shields of Lubbock, Alvin
Shields of Weatherford, Kertis
and Elzie Shields of Los
Angeles, and Rolland Shields of
Fort Worth;
Two brothers, Rev. Guy

Banquet and the election of two
representatives to the state
meeting at San Antonio in
April. The election will be held
at the next meeting.
