closed December 23-28 and December 31-
January 3 for the Christmas Holidays.
The Library will be open December 21-22
and December 29-30 from 10:00-6:00.
Books that are due on the dates that the
Library will be closed may be put in the
book drop on the west side of the buildinp.
Swizerland Guests to
Visit Baptist Church
The First Baptist Church of Jacksboro will
host Dr. and Mrs. Keith Parker, missionaries
from Ruschlikon, Switzerland in a Mission
Banquet on Wednesday evening, December
2, at 6:30 p.m. .
Flags from many of the 96 countries where
Southern Baptist work along-side National
church bodies will decorate the Banquet Hall.
The flag of Switzerland will be prominent in
honor of these special guests.
Dr. and Mrs. Parker have served as
teachers in an international 3 heological
Seminary in Europe for the past twelve years.
Their students include both East and West
Europeans plus many others from Africa,
Asia and both North and South America. Dr.
Parker will deliver a missionary message
and challenge at the close of the banquet.
Applications for Damage
Loans Should be Filed
State Senator Bob Glasgow (D-
Stephenville) has been advised by the Small
Business Administration that all the
applications should be timely filed for relief
for damages caused by the recent flooding in
the counties in the 22nd District. These
counties include Parker, Stephens, Cooke,
Hood, Jack, Wise, Montague, Eastland and
Denton counties.
Applications for loans for physical damage
should be filed with the Small Business
Administration by December 24, 1981.
Applications for economic injury should be
filed by July 23, 1982.
These applications should be made at the
local offices set up for this. If you are not
aware of the location of the local offices,
please contact either your county judge,
Glasgow's office in Austin or the division of
Disaster Services in Austin. The address of
the Division of Disaster Services in Austin is
5805 N. Lamar, Austin, Texas 78752,
telephone number is AC 512/465-2138. Bob
Glasgow's office address is P.O. Box 12068,
Capitol Station, Austin, Texas and his

FFA Teams Place in
District Contests
The Jacksboro Chapter of Future Fanners
of America participated in six leadership
contests at Throckmorton November 17.
The Senior Skills team placed first. The
members are: David Craft, Lane Easter, Paul
Glidewell, Ronald Rhoades and Mike Moore.
Junior Skills team placed second. The team
members are; Kelly McAnear, G.L. Wells and
Mike Burleson.
Junior Chapter Conducting team placed
seventh. The team members are; Brannon
Baker, Greg Lewis, Glen Foxx, Jan Durham,
Lynn Smith, Gene Carter and Craig Smith.
FFA Quiz team also placed seventh and the
members are; Sherri Counts, Linda Leonard,
John Gary and Severiano Salazar.
Senior Chapter Conduction team placed
eighth and the team members are Mike
Forbus, Chuck Henderson, Mike Isbell, Mike
Nelson, Terry Rhoades, Unice Whiteley. Tim
Ogle and Marty Cathey.
The last team is the Radio team that also
•placed eighth. The members are Karen
Matlock, Tony Van Baale and Jody Wood.
These teams were competing against 21
school in the district. To prepare and place in
such contests requires much time and effort
on the part of the student and teachers. Many
hours of hard work are at stake on the day of
competition.
The top two teams in all the contests will go
to the area contest at Tarleton State
University November 24.
