Junior AAUW Meets
In Kretzmeier Home
Members of the Junior A.A.U.W.
met Tuesday evening for their re-
gular monthly meeting in the
home of their sponsor, Mrs. J. M.
Ribble, with Mrs. W. O. Kretz-
moier as co-hostess.
A short business meeting was
condu} ed by Mrs. Klretzmeier,
president.
Bridge was played during the
entertaining hours and high score
prizes were awarded Mrs. W. J.
Ryan, Mrs. Ribble and Mrs. Pres-
sing.
Hostess for the August meeting
will be announced later.

Ryan, Ed Conley, R. W. McFar-
lane, F. S. Schwend, R. B Wilkins,
H. J. Born, Frank A. Cowell, H.
J. Pankratz, Sindey T. Walker, L.

at 8 o'clock tonight in the V.F.W
Hall.

Mrs. Betty Hammerschmidt nnd
daughter. Karen Sue, left Tues-
day for Santa Ana, Calif., to join
Mr. Hammerschmidt who is sta-
tioned there.
Mrs. Ed Hudson, who is in the
North Plains hospital, is reported
improving.
M. E. Rradford, Panhandle East-
ern employee, received word his
sister had been killed in a car
accident, but due to travel condi-
tions was unable to go.
Mrs. John Longstreteh, of Pitt
sburg. Pa., is spending some time
with Mrs. Randale Cowan. Their
husbands are stationed in Florida.
A cordial invitation is extended
to all to attend the basket dinner
Sunday at the Church of Christ,
also the evening services.
Elmer Fonkcn attended the fun-
eral services of his brother, Bill
Fonken, who passed away in a
hospital at Happy recently. De-
ceased is survided by his wife, a
daughter, Geraldine, his mother,
one sister, Mrs. O. D. Stewart of
Amarillo, two brothers, Oscar, of
Beatrice, Nebr., and a brother liv-
ing in Oregon.
