Securing New Cotton Seed.
Hearne, Texas. Oct. 26.—Planters
in thte section are beginning already
to secure their cotton seed for next
year's planting. The opinion prevails
here that an early maturing variety
Is necessary to get ahead of the boll
weevil, and foreign seed will ha used
here almost exclusively. Some late
cotton will be planted as an experi-
ment next season, but the majority of
the planters will put the bulk of their
seed in the ground at the earliest pos-
sible moment.
