BY JENNIFER GOFF
YJ STAFF WRITER
Jeremy Bartley, the newly elected presi-
dent of Student Government Association
for the 2012-13 school year, advocates for
the students with his phrase "We all have
a voice."
"I am excited about Jeremy Bartley lead-
ing the Student Government Association
next academic year," said Dr. Brent Marsh,
vice president for Student Life and dean
of students. "He will do a fantastic job.
Jeremy will be joined by an excellent
executive team and class senators who will
represent the student body exceptionally
well ."
The goals Bartley has for next year as
SGA president include painting the speed
bumps, around campus, bringing back clash
of the classes, and instituting bow-tie day.
"It's a huge honor to get this position." he
said. "I am always open to suggestions."
When asked which trait he saw in the
SGA team that would be beneficial to the
Student Body as a whole, Joshua Milam,
the vice president for 2012-13, pointed out
that "there was a lot of drive in those whoran in the Student Government Elections."
One of the main goals of this past year
had been to raise awareness about SGA,
and Milam was very encouraged by the
number of people running as well as their
passion.
Two vacant senior senator positions will
be appointed or elected in the fall during
