Although E. C. Dale, water engi-
neer for the Texas Relief Commis-
sion. approved the digging cf two
wells in the county, in order to fur-
nish a better water supply, other
prefects inspected by him will have
to bo investigated further.
Mr. Dale approved the digging of
a well near Lake Scarborough and
another at Burkett. While here he
also inflected sites whore low-water
dams might be constructed.
Designs will have to be made for
the dams and It likely wtil be several
| day* before it is known whether he
will approve those projects.
Mr. Dale was the guest of honor
al a banquet given by civic leaders
at the Manhattan cafe Wednesday
night.
The city planning commission will
meet tonight to complete work in
connection with the placing of a
low-water dam at the city park.
Sheep pelts will not be accepted
