on February 15, 1987 in a
double ring ceremony at First
Christian Church in Electra,
Texas.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. & Mrs. Bert C. Wijfjes of
Cerritos. California. The
groom is the son of Mr. &
Mrs. Frank H. Harris of
Wylie, Tx.
Given in marriage by her
father Bert Wijfjes the bride
wore a white satin gown with
■ lace on front and train, along
with a traditional veil.
The bride carried a bouquet
of white roses, miniature car-
nations and babvs’ breath.
The bride was attended by
her sister Christina Wijfjes
as Maid of Honor and Tonnie
Martinez of Rowlett, Tx. as
Bridesmaid.
Douglas Harris served as
his brothers best miui and
Bill Harris of McKinney, Tx.
as groomsman.
Tim Wijfjes of Cerritos,
California and Terry Dale
Wilson of Iowa Park, Tx.
were the ushers. Ringbearers
were Chris and Kenny Harris
of Marietta, Oklahoma.
For the wedding music the
bride chose ‘The Wedding
Song , 'We've Only Just
Begun', The Lord s Prayer',
and To Me'.
A reception was held follow-
ing the ceremony in the
church. Member of the house
party was Lisa Prohaska of
Dallas, Tx.
The bride graduated from
Plano High School in 1981
and is now a student at UTI)
majoring in Psychology.
The groom is a 1981
graduate of Wylie High
School. He is assistant
manager at Cavender's Boot
City.
After a trip to Red River,
New Mexico the couple will
make their home in Blue
Ridge, Tx.

Mrs. Griffin has been a resi-
dent at Hillcrest since Sept.
8, 1977. She was one of our
first residents and can
remember what it was like
with only 4 or 5 residents.
Mrs. Griffin had 3 children,
2 of whom are still living.
She has 10 grandchildren
and 11 great-grandchildren
whom she is very proud of.

1987 at Plano General
Hospital.
The daughter of Shelly
Whitman and Jossie (). Kelly
Whitman, she was lx»rn on
September II. 1912 in
KowletL, Tx.
Her husband, Hubert
Eldridge preoeeded her in
death.
Survivors include one child,
Hubert Lee Eldridge of
Lewisville, Tx.; Brothers
ILL. Whitman of Dallas,
S.M. Whitman, of Tawukoni;
Sisters Sue ifolberl of
Garland. Tx.
Also two grandchildren,
Bryan and Jeff Eldridge of
I^ewisville, Tx.
Services were held at the
First Baptist Church in Mur-
phy, Tx.. February 12, 1987
with Rev. John Max Cox and
Rev. Milton Greer officiating.
Pallbearers were: Ed
Nichols, Robert Daniel.
Johnny Dickerson, Dr.
Charles Kelly, J.C. Turner,
and Gary Herrington.
Interment is at Big Spring
Cemetery in Richardson,
Texas. Arrangements made
by Allen Funeral Home in
Wylie. Tx.
