Mrs, Birdie Helms was taken
to Overall-Morris Memorial Hos-
pital Wednesday night of last
week where she remained over
the weekend. She has a high
blood pressure condition.
Mr. ami Mrs. Elmer Edmond-
son and their small granddaugh-
ter, Tonya Edmondson, all of
Weatherford visited Mr, and
Mrs McrM Burkett arid other
friends Thursday of last week.
Mr. and Mrs. L. i). Herring
returned home Saturday of last
week ago after a trip to Tulsa,
Oklahoma to visit their sons,
Billy and J. {' and their families
and the W, C Cochran family at
Joplin, Mo. Mrs. Cochran, their
daughter, is recovering from
several operations following in-
juries sustained in an automo-
bile accident about 18 months

Colie Thate is convalescing at
his home after being hospital-
ized several weeks.
Mrs. A. I. Edwards is a pat-
ient at Scott and White Hospi-
tal in Temple. The nature of
her rondiiton has not been
learned. ^
Mrs. Quinn Harris is in Ar-
ansas Pass visiting hpr son,
Grady Glenn and family.
Mrs. Monnie Garrett is spend-
ing several weeks' in Cotton-
wood, S. D. with Mr. and Mrs.
Harold Odom and Mrs. Sandra
Burns and children.
La Nette Burns of Austin has
come home for an indefinite
time to be with her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Burns due
to his illness.
Wayne Newton, who has been
employed with the Brownwood
Post Office Department, has
moved to his home here and
will commute back and forth
from here to his work. The com-
munity welcomes Wayne. He is
the son of W. M. Newton and
nephew of Kathryn Cravens.
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Everett
Burkett came by and visited his
mother, Mrs. Yuna V. Burkett,
last week. They were enroute to
Georgia.
Mr. and Mrs. E. L- Harris re
turned home Thursday of last
week from Rollings Hills Rest,
Home in Coleman. Mrs. Mar-
garet Harris of El Paso will be
staying with them. The Wayne
Harris family of Midland will be
visiting at the E. L. Harris home
over the weekend,

Antonio; his mother, Mrs. R. M.
