and Mrs. Floyd Coffey of Cross
Plains
The Rev. C. R. Myrtcr of Cotton-
wood read th double ring vows be-
fore an altar decorated with bask-
ets of white gladioluses and stock
flanked by white tapers.
Mrs. B. K. Eubank, organist pro-
vided prenuptial music and accom-
panied Miss Rosemary Spencer, a
cousin of the bride, who sang "I
Love You Truly” and "At Dawning”.
Mrs. Jack Tyler, sister of the
groom, was matron of honor and
Joe Evecett, uncle of the groom,
was best man. Durward Coffey and
Jack Tyler served as ushers. Tom
Carpenter served as candlelighter.
Given in marriage by her father,
the bride wore a white ballerina
length gown of antique taffeta fash-
ioned with a scalloped neckline and
long sleeves coming to a point over
her hand. Her illusion veil was
shoulder length and she carried a
white Bible topped with a white
orchid.
For something old she carried a
handkerchief belonging to her great-
great-grandmother, something bor-
rowed were her ear-screws, some-
thing blue was a satin garter and
she wore a penny in her shoe.
Immediately following the cere-
mony a reception was held in the
church recreation room. The brides
table was centered with an arrange-
ment of gladioluses and stock. Mrs.
Hadden Payne, Mrs. Tommie Har-
ris and Mrs. Frank Spencer alter-
nated at serving the three-tiered
wedding cake and punch.
For her wedding trip the bride
wore a sand colored suit with brown
accessories and the orchid from her
bridal boquet. »
The bride is a 1953 graduate of
Crass Plains High School and the
last few months has been employed
in the PMA office in Baird.
The groom graduated from Cross
Plains High School in 1949 and ser-
ved In the U. S. Air Force from
September, 1949 to January, 1953.
After a short wedding trip the
couple wtU make their home in Dal-
las where he is employed with
Braniff Airlines.

Meets Here Sunday
Ladies Auxiliary of District 7 of
the Texas State Chiropractic As-
sociation met in Coleman Sunday
afternoon for their regular bi-
monthly meeting.
Dr. A. M. Fischer of Coleman
spoke to the group on “How The
Doctor’s Wife ”an Aid Him in His
Profession" and Mrs. R. E. Cap-
shaw of San Angelo spoke on "The
Philosophy of Chiropractic.” The
auxiliary has adopted for its pro-
jects this year solicitations for
membership in the Association and
contributions to its public health

Live At Home Club
Mrs. R. R. Foster was hostess to
the Live at Home. HD Club when
it met in her home Friday, January
22nd at 2 o'clock in the afternoon.
The president, Mrs. Paul Riddle,
called the meeting to order. Mrs.
Maynard Gaines led the group in
singing and Mrs. Alfha Brown led
the club pledge and prayer. After
council report by Mrs. T. C. Hart,
Mrs. Clyde Larance was elected as
a nominee to be presented at coun-
cil as a delegate to the District Tex-
as Home Demonstration Association
meeting in San Angelo on April
8th. Mrs. Maynard Gaines was
elected sis a nominee to be presented
for County THDA chairman.
Clothing leader, Mrs. W. H. Will-
iams and Mrs. Claude Alvey gave
the program on selecting a > com-
mercial pattern and proper measure-
tnetits.
Following the recreation a dessert
plate was served by the hostess to
the following members: Mmes. Clyde
Larance, Bob Livingston, Ben Tho-
mas, Paul Riddle, Alma Brown,
Claude Alvey, Barclay Martin, Henry
Livingston, Minnie Stayton, May-
nard Gaines, Bob Snodgrass, Ethel
Hefner, W. H. Williams and T. C.
Hart.
The next meeting will be Feb. 12
in the home of Mrs. Maynard Gaines
at 2 p.m.
