cessional” by Handel and as the

tary” by Purcell.
Given in marriage by her fath-
er, the bride wore a white velvet
gown designed with an empire
waistline and a softly flared
skirt featuring a floating panel
' extending to form a chapel
length train. Ldng sleeves taper-
ed to points over the hands and
a seoop_ neckline complemented
the bodice. She wore a mantilla
type veil of Valenciennes lace
and carried an antique white
Bible topped by a‘ bouquet of one
* large white orchid surrounded
by white phalaenopsis. Her only
jewelry was a pearl drop, gift
of the groom;
Miss Sandra Fontenotc of Port
Neches was maid of honor and
Miss Pinna Indorf of Cuero serv-
ed as bridesmaid. Both wore red
velveteen dresses styled identi-
cally as the bride’s gown with
exception of short sleeves. Red
lace prayer caps and white fur
muffs with red carnations at-
tached, completed their ensem-
bles.
Best man was The Rev, Robert
Tobin of Borger and groomsman
was Richard Patterson of Cock-
ney. Seating guests were Maj.
Jack Dibrell of Killeen and Don-
ald G. Holstead of Houston.
Mother of the bride chose a
__/coral peau de soie dress with
coral accessories and a white
phalaenopsis corsage. ’^’he |
groom's mother wore a toast silk
dress with toast accessories and
a corsage of phalaenopsis.
A reception was held immed-
iately following the ceremony in
the REA Club Room The bride s

Lancaster Circle
The Lancaster Circle oF the
.First Baptist Church met Thurs-
day at 3:30 p.m. in the home- of
Mrs. W. B. Lunsford. After an
opening prayer by Mrs. Ethel
Hefner, reports were heard from
committees and chairmen Mem-
bers discussed the ‘work to be
done in February, which will in-
clude the seeding of a gift to
the circle sponsored boy at the
Latin-American home in San An-
tonio.
Mrs. Lunsford presented the
first study of the new study
book, “Apogee,” which is a study
of Latin-Anlericans.
Mrs. Bertie Hindman read the
calendar with Mrs. H, C. Johnson
voicing prayer for those mis
sionaries listed. Those present,
othe thSn the ones already men-
tioned, included Mines. Robert
Miller, W. H. Williams end Miss
Sallie Warnock, who will be
hostess at the next meeting, Feb.
