Before Mother and Dad, Rene and Jimmy Wisch of your TJP
family, left for the American Jewish Press Convention of English-
Jewishj weekly publishers at the Sheraton Fast Hotel in New York
City, the following were among the important instructions left for
their eldest offspring:
“Linda, remember Bill Schur’s Bar Mitzvah this Friday evening
at the Temple Beth-El and the lovely reception his parents, Rabbi
and Mr!s. Robert J. Schur will hold in his honor in the Temple
Parlor following.
“And do be sure to remind all my readers that applications for a
super spectacular summer day camp program can be had by calling)
the Jewish Federation Office, WA 3-7381. V^ith camp opening on
June 12th at Ahavath Sholom, be sure and emphasize that the time
is right to start arranging car pools and that 'among the youngsters
we’ve heard! of planning to attend are Stanley Ackin, Brian Antweil,
Ronnie Berkowitz, Dana and Freddy Bloch, Allen Bodzy, Donna
Boardman, Elaine Cohn, Nicki Cristol, Burt and Bill Echt, Harold
Gernsbacher, Jr., Shelly Goldberg, Danny Goldstein, Esther Terry
Kboudi and Debby and Michael Luskey. Also, the Rubin youngsters,
Merry Ann, (Margaret, Joan and John, Jane Saginaw, Earle and Lesl-
ie Scharff, Sidney Karen Schuster, Faye Lynn and Richard Sch-
wartz, Morton Weinberg, Larry Weltman, Nancy and Paul Winner
and our own Judy Wisch.
‘Don’t forget to extend a real
hearty welcome to newcomers,
Eileen and Murray Marlin and
their sons, Harold, who is 9, and
six year old Glenn, who reside at
900 Cardinal Ridge. Formerly of
Red Bank, New Jersey, and most
recently of Toledo, Murray is
associated with Gov-X here.
“And Linda, you’d better plan
a real tempting lunch basket for
Beth-El Brotherhood’s Annual
Family Picnic for Sunday School
youngsters this Sunday morning
at Camp Carter. Donk Gordon
has planned a real whing-ding,
down to swimming, baseball,
games, and the usual soft drinks
provided courtesy of the Brother-
hood. So pack the swim suits, tow-
els, etc., for all the family, and
we’ll circle it a must on our cal-
endar. (
“And Dr. Earle Scharff, Bro-
therhood president, who is plan-
ning to attend the June 18th
meeting of Brotherhood officers
in the Southwest region which
will be held at Lake Murray Lod-
ge, would like to hear from his
co-officers and members planning
to attend.
“Don’t forget the news for the
