selected by the State of
Israel Bonds Campaign Cab-
inet as the 1982 recipient of
the distinguished Eleanor
Roosevelt Humanitarian
Award. The award pays
tribute to Mrs. Szor’s deep
commitment and continuing
dedication towards the State
of Israel. Esther served as
president of Pioneer Women
from 1967 to 1970 and
served on the National
Board during the years of
1977 to 1981. In 1964 she was
selected along with 20 other
women from across the
United States to attend a
seminar in Israel with

Soviet Jewish emigration
movement, was released
from her four years of exilpw
in Siberia and is on her warn
to Moscow, the Union
Councils for Soviet Jewry
reported here. Soviet Jewry
groups have been urging the
Soviet government to allow
Ms. Nudel, 51, to join her
