p.m. Rabbi Cary Kozberg of
Austin officiated at the can-
dlelight ceremony at the Fort
Worth Hilton Hotel.
The bride is the daughter of
June and Edwin Luftman and
the granddaughter of Ann
Brownstein of San Diego and
the late Abraham Brownstein
and Mrs. Lee Luftman, recently
of Fort Worth and the late
Philip Luftman. The groom is
the son of Varda and Moshe
Ginsburg of Haifa, Israel.
Rene Ingram and Barrie Luf-
tman, sisters of the bride ser-
ved as matron and maid of
honor. Bridesmaids were
Carolyn Marks and Sherry
Marks, sisters in-law of the
bride. Groomsmen were Dr.

Annette Klemow and Mitchell Smith
The engagement of Annette Marie Klemow and Mitchell Alan
Smith has been announced by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sidney
Klemow of Fort Worth. The future groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Yale Smith of Uitca, New York, and grandson of Drances Smith,
Uitca and Bernard Orasnin of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Miss Klemow received her Bachelor of Science degree from
Texas Christian University. Her fiance received his Bachelor of
Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from
Clarkson University in Potsdam, N.Y.
The couple will wed in a 5 p.m. ceremony at Cong. Ahavath
Sholom on June 7, with Rabbi Jacob Izakson officiating.
Given in marriage by her
parents, the bride wore a long
ivory Alencon lace gown and a
chapel length train all em-
broidered with Austrian cyr-
stals, seed pearls and sequins.
The veil, trimmed with lace
was also embroidered with
sequins.
A seated dinner and dance
followed the ceremony. A pre-
nuptial country western dinner
dance was held at the home of
the bride's parents the evening
before. A luncheon honoring
the bride and groom hosted by
Rae Shiftman and Fannette
and Norman Sonkin was held
on the afternoon of the wed-
ding at the Creole Belle
restaurant in Fort Worth. A
brunch on Sunday morning af-
ter the wedding was given by
the bride’s sisters and sisters
in-law.
The bride was graduated
from the University of Texas at
Austin and the groom is com-
pleting his masters there this
spring.

'Lunch And Learn'
Study Group Begins
Matriarch Study
An exploration of the lives
and values of the Matriarchs
will introduce the Fort Worth
Chapter of Hadassah's new
study group, "Lunch and
Learn." Rabbi Ralph Mecklen-
berger will lead the discussion
about Sarah, Rebecca, Rachel
and Leah on Wednesday,
February 18, 9:45 a.m. to 1:30
p.m. at Congregation Beth-EI,
207 West Broadway. The
program will include a light
salad lunch.
Study Group Co-chairwomen
Karen Brachman and Rebecca
Isgur designed the Lunch and
Learn program after a survey of
Hadassah membership revealed
overwhelming Interest in a one-
day seminar format. Hadassah
Education Vice-President Jane
Oderberg enthusiastic about
this new program said: "We’re
glad to have the opportunity to
provide an m-depth exploration
of women's issues. All of us
expect a large and enthusiastic
turnout Wednesday."
Rabbi Mecklenberger,
seminar leader, added his en-
thusiasm for the "Lunch and
Learn." Keenly aware of the
misconceptions modern Jewish
women harbor about our
foremothers, he said: "I look
forward to the opportunity to
spend more than the usual
hour exploring the issues. The
Question I want to explore is,
'Are our priorities theirs?’ "

Litman.
