Staub of Brockbank Dr. Mrs. Staub entertained mother, Mrs. Fay
Staub, of Forest Hills, N. Y. with a luncheon party April 23 at their
home.
A lovely luncheon-miscellaneous shower will honor bride-elect
Esther Witte on May 1. Mrs. Jay Rubin and Mrs. A1 Berns will cohost
the party for 30 guests at the home of the latter, 6814 Norway. The
house will be decorated in the bride’s colors of yellow and white.
Miss Judi Hurst, June Graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School,
was the honoree at a luncheon given by Mrs. Virginia C. Shull and her
daughter recently.
As June approaches, news of
•weddings and engagements in-
crease. Mr. and Mrs. Murray Roth,
6835 Woodland, have announced the
forth-coming marriage of their
daughter, Miss Susan Lila Roth,
to David Sikora, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Joseph Sikora of Corpus
Christi. The wedding will take
place July 3 at Temple Emanu-El.
Another engegament is soon to
be announced, formally, by Mr. and
Mrs. Oscar Jacobson, 5916 Pres-
tonhaven, of their daughter Sandra.
NOTEWORTHY — Miss Reesa
Ellen Samuelson, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Martin Samuelson, was
elected to the Honor Society of
Thomas J. Rush Jr. High.
Scott Kurman, 6822 DeLoache,
won honorable mention for his
“Dragon Seed” entry in the Gour-
met Club contest at SMU Student
Center. This club is comprised of
High School Gourmet enthusiasts.
Scott is the son of Eleanor and
(“Bonds for Israel) Stanley Kur-
man.
Billy and Ed Stern presented a
cantata, “A Night of Vigil” with
music by Sam Adler, for the Tem-
ple Emanu-El Sisterhood luncheon
meeting Tuesday, at the Temple.
Last night in the Tobian Auditor-
ium at the Temple Emanu-El, Dr.
Howard L. Grimes, Methodist Min-
ister of Perkins School of Theology,
spoke on “Our Children and the
Moral Climate of Our Times.” An
open forum and social concluded
the evening.
Mr. and Mrs. N. H. Goldberg,
3210 Cornell have had a busy four
months of joy and celebration.
Beginning with the birth of their
grandson, Dec. 4, when Steve Don-
aldson Frauman, was born to Mr.
and Mrs. Israel Frauman, 9048
Longmont. His coming brought
happiness to brother Harry Jay
and sister Terry Suzanne, grand
parents Mr. and Mrs. Goldberg,
grandmother Mrs. Sam Frauman
and great-grandfather Mr. William
Angrist. On April 1 the Goldbergs
were again blessed- with a grand-
son when Nolan Hilliard Goldberg,
arrived to gladden his parents,
(former Dallasites) Mr. and Mrs.
Julian Goldberg and sister Caren
of Kansas City, Mo. Mrs. Nellie
Lipton, Dallas, was in Missouri to
greet her grandson. Great-grand-
father, Mr. William Angrist again
was very proud. On April 18, Mr.
and Mrs. Goldberg could really
count their blessings of 40 years of
marriage. Their daughter and son-
in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Israel Frau-
man surprised their parents with
a party in celebration of their an-
niversary. Congratulations!
Belated congratulations to Mr.
and Mrs. Izzi Michaelson on their
April 11th anniversary and added
happy birthday wishes to Paul
Michaelson who celebrated on April
8th.
Happy voices on Lullabye Lane
are swelling the Spring Song
chorus.
Steve Lee Wilensky, joined his
happy parents Mr. and Mrs. Ray-
mond Wilensky April 27 in Brady.
Sister Cheryl and brother Ricky
join the proud grandparents, Mr.
and Mrs. H. Wilensky, Dallas and
Dr. A. Israel, of Fort Worth in
the welcome.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Sussman,
3811 Pyramid, welcomed a new lit-
tle daughter April 18 to give their
other little daughter Dora Ann, a
playmate. Mrs. Rose Sussman,
Richardson, is the happy grand-
mother.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Mopsik,
411 Nottingham Dr., Irving, wel-
comed a second daughter, Lisa
Diane, Mar. 29. Sister Karen Eliz-
abeth and grandparents Mr. and
Mrs. W. B. Ravansky and Mr. and
Mrs. Herman Mopsik, share their
joy.

Dr., was Bar Mitzvah at Shearith
Israel, April 23. A reception was
given Sunday evening at the home
of his parents.
Two hundred guests are expected
April 30 for the Bar Mitzvah of
Richard Norbert Baum, at Temple
Emanu-El. Grandparents Mr. and
Mrs. Felix Schoenfarber, Dallas
and uncle, Mr. Albert Baum of
New York City, are expected to
attend. Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph
Baum, 6231 Del Norte, will honor
their son with a luncheon at the
Temple following the services.
Mr. and Mrs. Norman Zable
have returned from a week in
Galveston. First Lt. Donald Rosen
spent Passover with his parents

Holland. Miss Phyllis Zable was
also home for Passover with her
mother, Mrs. Miriam Zable, 6645
Northwest Parkway, The call to
far away places has attracted Mr.
and Mrs. Byron Sachs, 6823 Lup-
ton. They sailed aboard the MS
Italia for a Caribbean cruise. Mr.
Samuel Pearlman, 4505 Abbott,
left aboard the SS United States
for a month’s tour of Europe. Dr.
Murray Pizette leaves shortly via
jet for Atlantic City where he will
represent Baylor Hospital at a
meeting of the Association of

vestigation. A visit with his folks
in Brooklyn, New York, will also

On the entertainment scene “Look
Homeward, Angel,” Ketti Frings’
Pulitzer Prize and New York
Critics Circle Award play star-
ring Miriam Hopkins, will be seen
in Dallas in three performances at
the Memorial Audtorium Theatre,
May 7 and 8, with Sunday matinee.
Miss Hopkins will be making her
Dallas stage debut in the drama-
tization of Thomas Wolfe’s auto-
biographical novel. Michael Ebert
will portray Wolfe himself, called
Eugene Gant in the play.
“Look Homeward, Angel,” which
ran for 564 performances on
Broadway, will be presented in
Dallas under the auspices of the

Tommy Noonan and Pete Marshall,
two of the most entertaining come-
dians in show-biz today will open
a two week engagement at the
Statler-Hilton’s Empire room on
May 12. Noonan, by the way, is
the brother of film star John
Ireland. The two who have ap-
peared in the country’s top-flight
nightclubs have also guest starred
on such big shows as Ed Sullivan,
Jackie Gleason and Milton Berle.
And of Dallas author, Bill Licht-
man, now residing in New York, we
hear that his novel “Between The
Star and The Cross.” has been
sold to Hollywood and shooting of
thq picture will start in July. And
too, Lichtman will have another
novel “Shadow on The Clouds,”
published by Random House short-
ly.
