ers, seventh, eighth and ninth grade students, to attend a get-
acquainted party and record hop this Sunday afternoon from 4 to
5:30 p.m. in the new gymnasium at Ahavath Sholom Center.
We do hope all the teen-age youth will plan to attend.
BAR MITZVAH
When Ben Tobor, son of Jen and Bert Tobor, is Bar Mitzvah this
Saturday morning at Ahavath Sholom, beaming with pride will be
his grandmothers, Mrs. Rose Kramer of Highland Park, 111., and Mrs.
Lillie Tobor of Chicago. Also here for the happy occasion are Jen’s
Sister and family, Elaine and Howard Franklin and children, Jodie and
Karen of Highland Park; brother and family, the Charles Kramers
and son, Harry, of Chicago, Mrs. Lou Davis of Milwaukee; uncle,
George Margolis and sons, Mark and Mitchell of Miami Beach, Fla.,
and aunt, Mrs. Sylvia Citron of Winnetka. 111.
Following the Bar Mitzvah services, the Tobors will honor their
son at a Kiddush in the Synagogue Center to which all friends are
invited.

Weatherford, Okla. Harriet and
Marc Lopin recent Las Vegas va-
cationers. Fred Lerner with the
U.S.A.F. spent several days with
his folks, Emily and Irv Lerner,
last week before reporting to his
new Florida base.

heard of planning to attend Echo
Hill Ranch in Kerrville this sum-
mer are Marc and Pam Wolens,
Marcia and Billy Rosenthal, Bar-
bara and Mike Krauss, Bill Schur,
Arnie Applebaum, Kay Lynn Tuck,
Merry Ann, Margaret and Joan
Rubin, Faye Levine, Jeffrey and

Siegel of Mineral Wells.

over holidays in Springfield, Mo.,

Gracious members of the Speech Department of the Women’s
Club will present an entertaining satire on the Club Woman of
today at Council of Jewish Women’s Closing Luncheon Meeting,
this Tuesday, May '3, noon at Temple Beth-El Center.
A catered luncheon will be served and plus the bonus pro-
gram attraction, this promises to be one of the season s out
standing events.
President Fanette Sonkin is to be complimented for Councils

perfectly beautiful “punch and
munch’’ graduation party last Sat-
urday from 11 to 1 at their home,
2233 Ward Parkway. Decorations
■were carried out in a blue color
scheme and highlight of the re-1
feshment table were the tiny blue
sandwiches rolled as diplomas and
tied with a blue ribbon. Assisting
the hostess at the party which was
attended by 75 guests were grad-
uates Joan Berger, Eleanor WTa-
linsky, Jeanne Labovitz and Janet
Masters. Mrs. Slatkin, by the way,
is president-elect of Beth-El Sister-
hood.
