A busy weekend indeed
for Carol and Mark Ros-
enfield and family as they
celebrate the Bar Mitz-
vah of their son, Adam,
this Friday evening and
Saturday morning at
Congregation Ahavath
Sholom.
Festivities will start
on Friday evening at a
Shabbat Dinner at the
Petroleum Club host-
ed by grandparents,
Beverly and Alfred Ros-
enfield of La Costa, Calif-
ornia and Jean and Leo-
nard Frank of Austin.
Following Friday evening
services Aunts and Unc-
les, Cheryl and Richard
Spellman, Gina and Ric-
ard Levy, and Jeff Ros-
enfield will sponsor the
Oneg Shabbot in the Zale
Auditorium. Immediate-
ly following the Satur-
day morning services,
Carol and Mark will
honor their son at a Kid-
dush Luncheon and again
that evening at a dinner
dance at the Petroleum
Club. On Sunday, Adam's
Great-Aunts and Uncles,
During the next
few months, a
dramatic change
will take place at
Dobie Center. On
August 26th, a
new building will
be unveiled. The
brick exterior will
be replaced with a
post-modern look
of solid glass,
while the interior
will sport all new
room furnishings,
carpeting and
lighting fixtures.
We’re also adding
a computer room,
two high-speed
skybox elevators,
a glass-enclosed
lounge, and
special floors for
upper classmen.
