Blood drive set for Stephenville Masonic Lodge
The Melvin Kinsey Memorial Blood Drive will be Saturday
April 14 from 8 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the Stephenville Masonic
Lodge (244 S. Columbia).

Tractor show and pull geared for Stephenville
The 16th Annual Stephenville Antique Tractor Show and
Pull is set for April 13 and 14 at the Stephenville City Park.
The tractor pull will begin at 10 a.m. A parade of tractors will
proceed at 1 p.m. followed by a kiddie pedal tractor pull at
1:30 p.m. All tractor, engine and machinery exhibitors
welcome.
This event will feature free admission for the whole family.
The pull will adhere to NATPA rules and hook fees for
competitors are $20.

Plant Fair set for Stephenville
Brighten up your garden and landscape at the annual
Native and Heirloom Plant Fair on the beautiful grounds of
the Stephenville Historical Museum.
The Plant Fair will be held Saturday, April 14 from 9
a.m.-3 p.m. An informative seminar will be held at 1:30
p.m. Vendors will be offering native and adapted plants,
herbs and vegetables, arts and crafts, concessions and
more. Admission is free. Additional vendors welcome.

Clairette Community sets sale
An inside sale is scheduled for Clairette Community
Center on Hwy. 6 on Friday and Saturday, April 13 & 14,
starting at 9 a.m. Items include dining room sets, small
appliances, decor and much more.

Rotary puts blood drive on tap
Dublin Rotary will be hosting a blood drive on Friday
April 13 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at First National Bank.
Fort Worth Iris Show in bloom
The Fort Worth Iris Society will host an Iris Flower Show
on Saturday, April 21 from 1 p.m.-4 p.m at the Fort Worth
Botanic Garden Center (3220 Botanic Garden Blvd.).
Admission is free.
CTRW invite community to meet candidates
On Thursday, April 19, noon, at CitiBank Community
Room, the Cross Timbers Republican Women are sponsoring
a Candidate Forum for the Stephenville City Council. All
members of the Council, along with their challengers, have
been invited to speak. All are welcome to attend.

CCMC volunteers setting up golf tourney
The Comanche County Medical Healthcare Volunteers will
be holding their 14th annual charity golf tournament on April
28 at Par Country Club.
Entry fees for this three person scramble are $75 per person
which include greens fees, cart and lunch. Up to three
mulligans are available at $5 each.
Multiple hole in one prizes are being offered including a new
truck, a cruise, $10,000, new clubs and a golf vacation. There
will be cash prizes for all flights. For more information, call

MS Trail Ride saddled for May 5
The 16th annual MS Trail Ride is set for Hunnewell Ranch
in Stephenville on Saturday May 5 th.
This is the only MS sanctioned horseback trail ride
fundraiser in the nation. The pledges riders raise will go
toward research for a cure, as well as vital programs for
people with MS, and their families in our own community.
Hunnewell Ranch is a beautiful 1,200 acre ranch owned by
Tarleton and is not normally open to the public. This
annual event takes trails that go into the back of the ranch
that is rarely seen.
There is a morning ride and an afternoon ride. Lunch is
provided, and prizes awarded. There is also a silent auction
all day during this event.

Community Baptist preparing fish fry
The Community Baptist Church (515 Mesquite) will host
a fish fry on Saturday, April 21 from 6 p.m.-8 p.m..
There will also be a silent auction at the event. Proceeds
will help raise money for Vacation Bible School.
Senior Citizens serving spaghetti
The Dublin Senior Citizens Center will hold a Spaghetti
Dinner today, Thursday at 6 p.m. The cost is $7 per
person. Everyone come out and enjoy!

April 4th 2012.
She was born Dec. 7, 1930
and named Odene Billie
Ruth Gandy, the daughter
of Will T and Willie Jesse
Gandy of the Edna Hill
Community, in Erath
Country, Texas.
She was preceded in death
by her parents, Husbands:
Jack Terry, and Truman
Williams, and Stepson, Jack
Terry Jr. Sisters: Oleta Gandy
Craig, Ola May Gandy, 01 lie
B. Gandy Hensley, and infant
Opal Gandy.
Survivors include: A sister,
Oma T. Martin, and husband
Gus, of Dublin, Step-son
Buddy Terry, of Los Angeles,
California. Nieces: Janice
Jurney Parker, and husband
Jim, of Dublin, Kristi Stevens
and husband Mark, of
Phoenix, Arizona. Nephews:
Kenneth Jurney, and wife
Francis of Dublin, John L.
Hensley and wife Wanda of
Houston, Michael Hensley,
of Houston, plus many
grand-nieces and grand-
nephews, and their
children.
After Graveside services
she was interred in the
Emerald Hills Cemetery in
Kennedale, Texas.
REINHARD
Arthur Reinhard, 85, of
Dublin died Saturday, April 7,
2012 at Golden Age Manor
Nursing Home.
He was bom on July 15,
1926 in Twin Sisters, TX to
Udo Reinhard and Appolonia
Kneopper.
On Jan. 31, 1997, he was
married to Juanita Whiteley
Richardson in Comanche.
In life, Reinhard was a truck
driver, World War II Veteran
of the U.S. Navy and a member
of the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife; a
son, Donald Arthur Reinhard
of Jonesboro, TX; three step-
sons, Cecil Sorsby of San
Antonio, Ronnie Richardson
and Ricky Richardson, both
of Dublin; and a step-
daughter, Sue Suter of
Dublin.
Funeral services were
Wednesday, April 11 at 10
a.m. at Countryside Baptist
Church, Rev. Leon Hill
officiating, with burial at
Boeme Cemetery on April 21.
Harrell Funeral Home in
charge of arrangements.
CUDD
Raymond W. Cudd, 64, of
Benbrook died Sunday,
April 8, 2012 at Golden Age
Manor Nursing Home.
He was born on Sept. 22,
1947 in Weatherford to
Cecil Cudd and Elsie
Duncan.
In life, he worked as an
employee of Marko
Industries.
He is survived by a son,
J.R. Cudd of Brownfield; a
daughter, Elizabeth Berry of
Dublin; three sisters, Janice,
Linda and Rebecca; and five
grandchildren.
Services will be held at a
later date. Burial was in the
Bethel Cemetery in
Weatherford. Harrell Funeral
Home in charge of
arrangements.
School board meeting changed
Dublin school board
regular meeting has been
changed from Monday to
next Thursday, April 19 due
to conflict with a number of
school activities.
Tentative agenda for the
meeting will include a
resolution on Teacher
Appreciation Week, a
resolution on high stakes,
standardized testing, acting
on bids for an FFA pickup
and consider quotes for
student activity bus/buses.
The board is also to have
a closed meeting to consider
the superintendent’s
recommendation on
employment and a
resolution will be considered
on recognizing Jodi Belew
and Levi Bamber on their
accomplishments in power
lifting.
Clark Gardens to host health program
Clark Gardens, in
partnership with Palo Pinto
General Hospital, offers a
free program today, April
12 at 7 pm. in the Clark
Gardens Chapel.
The program, presented
by Dr Nanette Evans, will
discuss women’s health
issues emphasizing breast
cancer risk factors, the
diagnosis of breast cancer
and the treatment options.
Dr. Evans specializes in
diagnostic radiology and
serves as a vital resource to
Palo Pinto General Hospital
