JAMES ASHLEY WEBB
Ashley Webb was the son of Alexander "Alex" Webb and Jane
McMahan Webb. Their home was near the town of Cosby,
Cocke County, Tennessee, at the foot of the Great-Smokey
Mountains in the southeastern part of the state.
He came to Texas around the turn of the century as a young
man on his "way west". He liked the Carrollton area and
stayed to marry and raise a family. Ashley was a fine man,
highly thought of by all who knew him.
