The word, perfume, is derived from
the Latin word "per" meaning

grmle in the BISD but it's 17-week
coWse curriculum is focused on the
sixth grade. The question box is a
way that the sixth graders can ask
questions of the DARE officer
while remaining anonymous at the
same time„ The Burleson
Star thought that you might want
to see what kinds of questions your
children are asking, and how they
are being answered.
QUESTION: When my
parents drink and drive, I'm
scared, especially when I'm
in the car and he swerves,
should I do to not be
scared?
ANSWER: Sometimes pa-
rents don't realize what their
drinking does to kids. What
seems so right for them is
wrong for kids, but some-
times parents don't look at
the consequences that the
kids see. This is a hard ques-
tion, because the parent does
not see what his or her drink-
ing and driving is doing not
only to you but to your fam-
ily and himself as welL The
best thing to do is to let
your parent know that you
love him or her and that his
drinking is scaring you. Al-
ways keep love in what you will see the damage he could
are saying affd hopefully he cause his family. It could be
tragic. —DARE Officer
