Prom Breakfast
The First United Methodist Church will be serving a
Come & Go Pancake Breakfast to all community
graduating seniors after the Burleson High School
Senior Prom, beginning at 11 pm Friday, April 29, and
serving as long as the seniors are hungry—or until
dawn whichever comes first!
Seniors do not have to attend Burleson High School or
the Prom to participate in the breakfast with their
friends Breakfast will be in the Fellowship Hall of
First Methodist and guests may enter from the rear of
the building. Video movies and table games will be
available, seniors may wear comfortable clothing.
There is no charge to the seniors, this is a way the
church can express its love for and support of our com-
munity youth
Park fun run
There will be a Fun Run/Race on the last day of
Burleson Awareness Week to introduce the Exercise
Trail at Chisenhall Park to the public Many people
have been using the trail at the Community Center, but
this will introduce the Community as a whole to the
trail on Saturday, April 30, 12 Noon
There will be

Open Division—16 yrs & over male and female
Jokers Division - Business people who normally do
not run' Male and female

Awards are 1st place in each division will receive a
T shirt and a dinner for two at a local restaurant—

evaluates a person's Coronary Risk Factor, will be
held at Huguley Memorial Hospital. May 3, from 7-9

KEENE - A "summer sale" on college courses will
lie offered beginning May 9 at Southwestern Adventist
College, according to registrar Dallas Kindopp
With tuition at about half the regular rates,
students of all ages can get a real bargain on college
credit." says Larry Wilson, assistant to the president
"And : tudents working toward degrees can get a good
start for next fall."
Summer Module I begins Monday, May 9, at the col-
lege, Module II on Monday, June 6, and Module III on
Monday, July 4 Registration and the first classes are
on the dates listed However, students may pre register
and make financial arrangements for classes at any
time before the module starts
Tuition charges for this summer are $1(J0 per
semester hour, and room and board charges are $60
(xt week Three semester hours is considered a full
academic loud for any summer module

last three summers do not need to submit an applica
tion, a mailing address update will be sufficient, ex-

In keeping with the theme for National Family Week.
May 1 8, "Families and Aging -Growing Old is u
Family Affair," the Education Division of First United
Methodist Church is sponsoring a film and program at
the church on Monday, May 2. at 7.30 p.m.
Guests from the Burleson area are welcome to at
tend The film "When Parents Grow Old" will initiate a
discussion about the difficulty of housing and living ar
rangernents for the elderly It is being presented by the
Mental Health Association and a guest from that
department will lead the discussion
If you or anyone you know is facing this problem, this
is a good opportunity to get some needed information
