painting fire plugs, weed eating around the fire
plugs and painting lines at the fire hall to
prepare for the State Fire Marshall inspection.
Fire Report
There was one fire on
Lake Timpson Rd. Fire-
man responding were
Billy Halley, Clay Tay-
lor, Keneth Hanson,Trey
Stewart, Steven Haney,
and Ben Brown.
Donations were given
by Mr. and Mrs. Maynon
Adams and Camp Huawni.
Firemen were or hand.to
assist in the fireworks
display at Camp Huawni
last Friday night.
Mr. Tow Hood, Engineer-
ing Assistant, with
-State Board of Insur-
ance was in- Timpson,
Monday. August 5th from
8:00 A.M. until 4:00
P.M. for a complete key
rate reinspection of
the- fire defenses for
the City of Timpson.

Ross Graves, and City
Secretary Jo Ann Thomp-

in this reinspection.
Following the inspec-
tion Mr. Mood stated he
could see no reason why
the City could not be
taken off the "'unpro-
tected* Class, and this
would be his recommen-
datlon to Hugh Hef-
lin, Chief Engineer.Mr.
Heflin will be making

and the City should re-
ceive written notice of
his decision very soon.

ment of Health Bureau
1 of Emergency Management
and is designed to pro-
vide participants with
an understanding of the
roles and responsibili-
ties of the Radiologi-
cal Response personnel,
provide fundamental
knowledge of radiation
and its effects, proper
radiological hazard as-
sessment procedures end
protective actions for
radiological emergen-
cies.
Following completion of
this course the City
will be eligible for
equipment furnished by
Emergency Management.
Kenneth Henson and Tim
Magness will train fire
department personnel
and emergency medical
personnel.
The City has been au-
thorized by State De-
partment of Highways
and Public Transporta-
tion to begin work on
the adjustment of elec-
trical facilities on

Fellowship School
Burglary Solved
Hwy 59 South.'
Shelby County Sheriff
Paul Ross stated that a
burglary of the Fellow-
ship School on or about
June 22, 1985 in which
there were 5 sets of
computers, including
viewers, tapes, etc.*
valued at over 12,700,
stolen has been solved
and all the merchandise
recovered and released
back to Fellowship
School Principal Elmer
Mathews.
Sheriff Ross stated
that he and Oeputy pon~
nie Chance gained In-
formation on the case
soon after the-burglary
and had questioned sev-
eral suspects and even-
tually narrowed it.'down
to two juveniles. Due
to state laws.the names
of the juveniles invol-
ved cannot be printed.
At this tine the juven-
iles have beer turned-
over to Wayne Allison, '
Juvenile Probation Of-
ficer free* Carthage.
Texas, and were releas-
ed to their parents
pending further legal
action. ■ • '
Fellowship Principal
Elmer Mathews and Joa-
quin Principal Bill Mi-
lan were very helpful
in the investigation
and solving of the
case,according to Sher-
iff Ross and Deputy
Chance.
Ambulance
Runs
There were 3 ambulance
runs from July 30.
through August 5. Those
making the runs were
Ozay Ford, 2 runs; Tlrp
Magness, 3 runs; Oeri
Strahan, 1 run; and Sam
Hooper, 1 run.
Donations were given
by Henry Porterfield.
In memory of Mrs. Susie
Childs Goolsby dona-
tions were given by
