Stockman Basketball Team
Having Successful Season
The Stockman basketball
team, under the efficient and
thorough coaching of Millard
Matkln, principal, is having
one of the most successful sea-
sons in the history of the
sch&oi. The team has met some
of the outstanding teams in
this section, and their series of
victories proves the Quality of
material composing the team,
and is highly gratifying to the
patrons of the school and to
basketball fans of the com-
munity who are enthusiastic
in their support of the team.
Some of their recent games
include:
Stockman and Huntington
at Gary. Saturday, score 10 to
18, in favor of the Shelby
county aggregation.
Monday night’s game at
Nacogdoches proved easy
picking when the Stockman
quintet took the snappy S. F.
A. Freshman team to a deci-
sive defeat—21 to 5.
History was changed, how-
ever, in Tuesday night’s game,
when the 'Garrison team won
over the Stockman team by
the close score of 23 to 22.
