Leon, died April 20, 2007 at
Comanche County Medical Center.
She was bom July 27, 1924 in
De Leon to Joseph Hugh Wall and
Bertie Ismelda Belyeu Wall.
She married Luther G Caraway,
Jr. on July 14, 1943 in De Leon.
Caraway was retired from
Montgomery Wards, a homemaker
and a member of the De Leon First
Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by
her husband and parents.
Survivors include one son, Joe
Caraway of Fort Worth; one sister,
Helen Cook of Houston; two
grandchildren and one great-
grandchild.
Funeral services were Monday,
April 23, 2007, at Nowlin Funeral
Home Chapel with burial in the De
Leon Cemetery. Dr. Jay Smith
officiated.
Pallbearers were Eddie Hight,
Dan Larue, Joe Wallace, Randy
Owen, Steve Rogers and Greg
Zwememann.
WESTFALL
Royce Dwain Westfall, 59, of
Branson, MO, died April 14.
He was bom April 28, 1947 in
Dublin to W.J. Westfall, Sr. and Eva
Wenona Westfall.
He was preceded in death by his
parents, step-mother, Leda Mae
Westfall, brothers; W.J. "Dub"
Westfall, Jr., and Boyd Lane
Westfall.
Survivors include his wife,
Diane Carol Westfall of Branson
MO; daughter, Felicia Clements of
Gustine; sons, Jerrett Dwaine
Westfall of Granbuiy, Rory Dwain
Westfall of Branson, MO; six
grandchildren; a sister, Deloris
Seago of Gustine.
Funeral services were held
Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at the
Park Hill Church with burial at
Evergreen Cemetery in Gustine.

Gayland Guy Hall, 78, of
Dublin, died April 18, 2007 at
Harris Methodist Erath County.
He was bom September 10,
1928 in Shiloh to William Albert
Hall and Nettie Lou (Bolton).
Hall married Imogene
(Thurman) on September 13,1946
in Dublin. He was a retired fanner,
a member of Community Baptist
Church and served on the Dublin
school board for over 20 years. Hall
was a veteran of the Army and Air
Force.
Survivors include his wife; two
daughters, Shirley Couch of
Stephenville, Nancy Cowan of
Abilene; five grandchildren; four
great-grandchildren and one sister,
Jean Williams of Tilmon.
Funeral services were held
Saturday, April, 20, 2007 at
Community Baptist Church with
burial at Dublin Liveoak Cemetery.
Dean Bradley officiated.
Pallbearers were Dean Edwards,
Joe Coles, Don Carston, Ronnie
Couch, Jackie James and Danny
Prater.
Memorial can be make to
Community Baptist Church,
American Cancer Society or the
charity of you choice.

a registered nurse and certified
holistic nurse. She owned and
operated her own business

She was preceded in death by
her father F.L. Gerhart She is
survived by her husband of nine
years Fred Carlgren; son, Zach
Havens; two grandchildren, step-
sons, Brian Carlgren and Kris
Carlgren; mother and step-father,
Margie Montgomery-Fisher and
Erhard Fisher; her step-mother
Mildred Gerhart; brother Rod
Gerhart; sister JoAnn Rothe.

service Friday, April 20, 2007 at
Porter Loring Mortuary North
Chapel in San Antonio.
Graveside services were
Saturday, April 21, 2007 at the
Clairette Cemetery in Clairette
Texas.

Dublin died Tuesday, April 24,
2007 at her home.
She was bom Aug. 1, 1938 in
Dublin to Albert Wtse Starnes and
Virginia Eula (Reed) Starnes.
She was married to Clarence
Wayne Smith on May 28, 2955 in
Dublin.
A retired manager for Lee
Optical, she was a member of
Community Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband;
two daughters, Peggy Darlene
Nelson of Gainesville and Connie
Dale Cheatham of Sulphur Springs;
one son, Rickey Wayne Smith of
Athens; seven grandchildren; her
mother, Virginia Starnes of Dublin;’
a sister, Evyonne Day of Abilene
and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11:30
am Friday, April 27 at 11:30 am. at
Community Baptist Church, Dean
Bradley officiating. Burial will be in
Lower Greens Creek Cemetery.

Michael Lee Summers, 55, of
Dublin, owner of the Party Place
Child Development Center, died
Saturday, April 21, 2007, at a Fort
Worth hospital.
He was bom on July 23,1951, to
Earl Hamilton and Ruby (Holder)
Summers in Fort Worth, Texas.
He married Vickie Swindle on
Dec. 26,1971, in Fort Worth, Texas.
He was a member of the First
Assembly of God Church in
Dublin.
He was preceded in death by his
father, Earl Summers, a sister,
Carolyn Sue Summers, and a
brother, Earl Summers.
Survivors include his wife; four
children, Hope Thompson of Fort
Worth, Lee Summers of The
Colony, Dawn Marie Summers of
Stephenville and John Carleton
Summers of Dublin; his mother,
Ruby Kriegel of Bedford; brother,
Robert Earl Summers of Haltom
City and three grandchildren.
Services were Wednesday, April
25,2007, at the Lacy Funeral Home
Chapel in Stephenville with Rev.
Ronnie Horton officiating, assisted
by Rev. Michael Shutter. Burial will
be at the Live Oak Cemetery,
Dublin.

Comanche has Gospel Jamboree
The first annual Comanche Gospel Music Jamboree will be April
28 at the Comanche City Park. Admission is free. Bring lawn chairs,
blankets etc., and enjoy the afternoon with sAme good old fashion
Gospel Music. Food and drink vendors, like Taco Bill’s Barbeque
adn Dublin Dr Pepper, will be available. All times are approximate:
2 p.m. will be poening ceremony, there will performers all afternoon,
closing prayer will be at 7:30 p.m.
Hanson Cemetery association meeting slated
The annual meeting of the Hanson Cemetary Association will be held on
Saturday, May 5. This will be the only formal meeting of the year. Members
will gather aroung 10 am. to tend to individual lots before the business meeting
and basket lunch spread at noon. In case of nun, meet at the Thompson’s at 11
am. Bring food as usual. The cemetery is located three miles north of Lake
Proctor off Hwy 1496 and CR 438. For more information contact Anna
Thompson, Secretary- Treasurer, 254-445-2478.
Clairette Community Announcement
The Clairette Cemetary Meeting and Covered Dish Lunch will be held on
Saturday, May 5th. The Annual Clairette Cemetery meeting will begin at 11:30
am. at the Clairette Community Center, which is the Old School House
Building. The Covered Dish Lunch will start at noon. Please bring your
favorite dishes and visit with some of your neighbors and old friends.
ECCCW to offer information on clean water
This Saturday, April 28, the Erath County Citizens for Clean Water will
have tables set up outside of WalMart in Stephenville. to share some
information with the general public and to offer everyone that stops by a cup
of clean, clear water. We want to invite anyone who is out and about on
Saturday to come by and visit with us.
