Earl Dwayne Cook, son of Mr.
and.Mrs. Cecil Cook, underwent a
tonsils operation in McKinney last
Tuesday.
The Rev. A. N. Bingham, Meth-
odist pastor, has announced that
quarterly conference for the Wes-
ton circuit churches is to be held
at the Chambersville church Sat-
urday. It is to be an all-day af-
fair with the women of the church

Mrs. Ford Stockton of La Junta,
Colo., has arrived for a visit, with
her sister, Mrs. R. C. Cook, and
other relatives.
Nancy Smallwood, daughter of
Mrs. Edith Smallwood, underwent
a tonsils operation at McKinney
Friday.
Mrs. B. W. Hackler and son Ter-
ry of Dallas are visiting her fath-
er, F. Van Hoozer, and family.
/The Methodist revival, which has
been in progress, is to close Fri-
day night, July 16. The Rev. Guy
Perdue of Dallas, who was to hold
the revival, was unable to come
due to illness. The pastor, the Rev.
A. N. Bingham, has been doing
the preaching. The Rev. Mr. Bing-
ham is to begin a revival at the
Cottage Hill Methodist church
Sunday morning, July 18.
The Christian revival is to begin
Thursday night, July 22, with the
Rev. Lee Hargus of Fort Worth
doing the preaching.
Dwayne Howell of Dallas spent
Friday night here with his parents,
Commissioner and Mrs. J. Lee
Howell.
Mr. and Mrs. Ford Hansard and
son of Dallas were visiting rela-
tives and friends here Sunday aft-
ernoon.
Mrs. R. C. Cook, whose birthday
is Friday, July 16, was honored
with a surprise birthday dinner at
her home here Sunday. Present
were Mrs. Liza Stockton, La Jun-
ta, Colo.; Mr. and Mrs. Robbie
Cook, Mrs. Louise York, Mr. and
Mrs. Dennis Cook Jr. and son of
Dallas; Dwight Cook of Grand
Prairie, Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Cook

Collier of McKinney, Mr. and
Mrs. Troy Cowan and sons, Mr.
and Mrs. Lee Foster, Mr. and Mrs.
Cecil Cook and sons and Mrs. Jes-

Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Baker of Sa-
voy were visiting her mother, Mrs
Amy Cuiwell, Sunday afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Audie Morris and
sons are moving to Pampa this
week. The move is being made in
search of a climate which will be
more healthful to one of the sons,
Robert, who suffers from asthma.
Mr. and Mrs. Garth Burch have
moved from an apartment at the
home of F. Van Hoozer to the
house on the Levi Carruth farm
north of town, recently vacated by
Mr. and Mrs. Audie Morris.
Mr. and Mrs. W. J. C. Smith Jr.
and son Johnny of Celina, Mr. and
Mrs. J. C. Frair of Alla visited
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Frair and fam-
ily Saturday night.
