A Very Special Thank You!
I feel honored and blessed to have had my four children and
spouses prepare an 80th Birthday Party for me. Ten of my 14
grandchildren, nine of my great grandchildren and one great-great
grandchild were in attendance, also. Wonderful! Other relatives,
neighbors and friends arrived with birthday cards for my pleasure
to read later.
After viewing displays, visiting and refreshments the afternoon
ended with me receiving two special gifts from my children: a gold
charm “Mom” bracelet and a complete music center. Since I
have so much “down time,” I will now have a varied selection of
soothing music to choose from. Thank one and all for your pres-
ence and your cards, and also those who called. To my ailing Aunt
Freda Bowlin, sister-in-law Yvonne Rhodes and three cousins,
Frances Hill, Alice Horton, andNovis Jones, I say “wish you could
have been here; I missed you dearly.”
A special “Thanks” to the Shelby County Singing Group for the
“Happy Birthday” sung to me over Radio KDET-Center, TX.
"Bless be the tie that binds.”
Thanks again, Juanita R. Green

1 Our Supreme Court justices
has ruled in favor of illegal aliens
offenders. The justices made a
decision, 5-4, that the crooks have
to be released even though their
own country won't take them
back. I'm sure they will also be
allowed to have free school, medi-
cal bills paid, and draw some sort
of assistance form the tax pay-
ers they have committed crimes
on. How has our country become
what we are? The worst thing is
that it appears no one cares. Send
them back even if their hose coun-
try doesn't want them back.

After a hectic day, Ruth Lawhorn wrote the following poem and
taped it to the refrigerator for her husband to see:
I'm in the kitchen everyday as I have been for years.
Early morning, noon and night, cooking for my dear.
I mince and chop and peel and pare, I boil and stew and fry with
care.
Saute and roast and make a cake, I whip and beat before I bake.
Now I'm getting old and weary, and tired of standing on my feet.
Why doesn't my dear husband take me out to eat?
Ruth found her poem replaced by another:
My poor wife is all pout out, and that's what poems are all about.
She doesn't want to cook anymore, and says its not what she lives
here for.
In my fashion, I try to help some, she knows that Mars is where I
come from.
Cooking and cleaning are no easy task, but if she wants to eat out,
why doesn't she ask?
