Lake Livingston Medical Center
Hospital looking for new name
One/aska Chamber of Commerce discusses
BASS tournament, Easter parade
Although the county has been pay-
ing down the debts, “a lot of old
debts and long leases still remain
from the HealthStar days,” said
County Judge Wayne Baker.
While the county hopes the new
name will help distance the local
hoqrital from HealthStar, Baker
reiterated that one of main goals of
the name change is to reflect the
hospital’s county wide operation.
Suggestions for the new name
should be mailed to: County Judge's
Office, Polk County Courthouse, Liv-
ingston, Tx. 77351.
LIVINGSTON - Lake Livingston
Medical Center will soon hare a new

Monday issued a statement asking

hospital.
“During a previous term of lease
by a private corporation, the facility
was named Lake Livingston MetHcal
Center," the statement reads. “Now
operating the hospital directly
through the commissioners’ court,
we would like the name of the facili-
ty to reflect the service to be provid-
ed countywide, by including ‘Polk
County’ in the new name."

helped in making the tournament a
success.
The chamber also discussed the
arnual Easter Parade and egg hunt,
agreed that it had gone well and
presented l^w Vail with an award of
