ny at 6 p.m. Saturday, July 21, at
First Baptist Church in Sulphur
Springs with Dr. David Hardage,
minister of First Baptist Church,
officiating and the Rev. Fred
Lewis offering a special prayer for
the couple.
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Ricky Berry of Sulphur
Springs, and the granddaughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Buel Berry of Sul-
phur Springs and Mrs. Emma Jean
Byers of Greenville.
The groom is the son of Dr. and
Mrs. Edwin Colburn of Monticel-
lo. Ark., and the grandson of Flo-
rence Epperson of Houston.
Matron of Honor was Janet
Todd, sister of the groom, of
Mesquite. Bridesmaids were Nan
Fugh of Atlanta, Ga.. cousin of the
bride; Nikki Flecker of Miller
Grove, childhood friend of the

pianist was Edyie Ginn, with

"When I Fall In Love,” played
during the seating of the housep-
arty; “This Day,” played while
seating the grandparents; “House-
hold of Faith,” played while seat-
ing the parents; “Imagine Me
Without You,” was played during
the ceremony. Renee Armstrong
was wedding coordinator and
designer.
A reception was held in the
First Baptist Church gym and
hosted by parents of the bride.
The bride is a graduate of Bay-
lor University with a degree in
elementary education and is
employed as a Realtor for Centu-
ry 21 in College Station.
The groom is a graduate of
Texas A&M University with a
degree in agronomy. He is
employed as a sales representa-
tive for Syngenta Crop Protection.
After a wedding trip to Cancun,
Mexico, the couple will make
their home in Bryan.
Showers and parties
The bride and groom were hon-
ored with a miscellaneous shower
hosted by friends at the First Bap-
tist Church
The couple were honored with
a housewarming shower at the
brides office in College Station.
A rehearsal dinner was hosted
by the parents of the groom and
held in the fellowship hall of the
First Baptist Church.
A bridal luncheon was held at
the home of Shirley Charles.
Hostesses were Karen Bailey,
LaVema Hipp, Diane Lummus
and Kathy Reeves.
“Get me to the church on time”
was held at the church. The wed-
ding party was served a variety of
finger foods. Hostesses were Bar-
bara Taylor, Amy Taylor and
Karol Ann Moore.

Bright Star
Gardeners
Bright Star Gardeners met on
Tuesday, October 2 at the home
of our Vice-President, Susan
Downard at Dike. Susan’s entire
front yard and home were deco-
rated for the fall harvest season,
and a “Spooktacular” Hal-
loween!
A family “cemetery” with
headstones such as “R.U. Ready”
and “U. R. next" provided the
perfect backdrop for a photo ses-
sion with some of our members.
We also enjoyed a garden tour,
which included delightful and
"frightful” displays around every
comer. The pool area had a cute
scarecrow surrounded with bas-
kets full of gourds, vegetables,
and pumpkins. Pumpkin pails

14, at Echo Lodge in Sulphur
Springs. Friends and family were
invited to celebrate the recent
marriage. The parents and the
couple’s brothers joined in creat-
ing a casual beach-style atmos-
phere to greet the guests for the
occasion. Caterer for the evening
was Gilda Landers, and Susie
Barker, cousin of the bride, deco-
rated the area with tropical floral
arrangements.
The couple was honored with a
wedding shower on Saturday,
May 12, hosted by Sue Gray in
her home. Fresh fruit, cake and
punch were served.

Darby hosted a miscellaneous
shower on Sunday, May 20. at
Shooks Chapel United Methodist

Jordan Bailey and Leslie
Moore, friends of the bride, host-
ed a bath and outdoor shower
June 3 in the home of Jordan
Bailey. Sandwiches, chips and
cokes were served.
An around-the-clock shower
was hosted by Marla Jones and
Mandi Morton at Plain and Fan-
es on June 9. Guests enjoyed a
selection of cheese cake.
The bride's friends hosted a
hachelorette party on June 23
beginning at the home of Tonya
Riley and later traveling to Dallas
for an evening of entertainment.

Mr. and Mrs. Troy Keith Gilbreath of Yantis announce

Tyra Dee Gilbreath, to Joshua Ray Edwards. The groom is
the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Edwards of Weaver. The
