November Wedding
Mr. and Mrs. Gary Graham of Yantis announce the
engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter,
Stacy Macalee, to Tommy Wayne Davis. The prospective
bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Davis of
Yantis. The couple plan to be married Saturday, Nov. 30.
Family Reunions
Rad icon Family
The family of the late James and Mary Radican gathered Saturday,
Oct. 12, at the Oakland community center for its annual family reunion.
Those attending included Averal and Lola Bledsoe, Mae Ola Stewart,
David and Glenna Robinson and children; Michael, Mary, Keith and
Norma Adams; .Wayne .and Joyce Bledsoe, Mrs. Janet Bledsoe'and '
daughter, Ashley Bledsoe, all of Sulphur Springs.
Also attending were Georgie Radican, Wallace and Emma Blackburn
and Dale and Mary Welch, all of Mount Vernon; Dorothy Bradshaw and
son, Robin Bradshaw, and grandchildren, Jarred and Jason, all of
Kaufman.
Others included Robbie Robinson and son, Cory, of Alba, Dorrie
Richardson and son, Shane, of Alba; Debbie Priddy and daughters,
Roxanne and Sabrina Priddy of Alba; Lois Mae Hilt, Mrs. Lucy Radican

session at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17,

Johnson, who presented a program
on color analysis.

Culture Club
The Mother’s Culture Club met
Tuesday, Oct. 15, in the home of Alice
Dunlap for a regular meeting.
Minutes of the previous meeting
were read by Myra Watson, who also
read correspondence and an in-
vitation from the Junior Waverly
Club to attend their bazaar Tuesday,
Nov. 12.
“Children’s Discipline” was the
topic spoken on by Dr. Robert Estes,
a psychologist from East Texas State
University and guest speaker for the
evening.
Dr. Estes has several years ex-
perience teaching and working in a
clinic to help special education
children. One of Dr. Estes’ main
points of the program was that

The Boyd family met Sunday, Oct. 6, at the Hopkins County Civic
Center for their annual reunion.
Those attending included Mr. and Mrs. Morris Simmons and Mr. and
Mrs. Merrell Boyd of Paris, Mr. and Mrs. Daren Davis of Grand Prairie,
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Jones of Sand Springs, Okla., Mr. and Mrs. Raymond
McGinnis of Tulsa', Okla.
Others included Mr. and Mrs. Jerry D. Boyd, Becky and Donnie of
Clarksville, Mr. and Mrs. Burl Boyd of Hooks, Mr. and Mrs. Dwayne

Holds 35th Reunion
The 1950 graduating class of Saltillo
High School celebrated its 35th an-
niversary with a class reunion
Saturday, Oct. 12, in the Saltillo
School cafeteria.
Those attending included Dale
Bedgood of Commerce, Gene Barnett
of Sulphur Springs, Leon Dennis of
Irving, Bobbie Worsham of Dun-
canville, Bobby Conley of Linden,
Roy Davidson of Tyler, Angela Whitt
of Round Rock.
Other class members attending
were Dorothy Burnett Mitchell of
Saltillo, Edna Underwood Bass of
Grand Prairie, Kay Marlin Long of
Wichita Fallas, Annada Bridges
Worsham of Duncanville, Doris

Tina Alexander, project chair-
person, reported that $684.52 was
made on the annual Closet Clearance.
Members were also reminded to
bring five names and addresses to the
next meeting to use for auction in-
vitations.
It, was announced that the next
meeting will be held 7 p.m. Thursday,
Nov. 7. Members should irfeet in the
parking lot of the Sulphur Springs
State Bank. The theme of the meeting
will be, “The Way We Were.” For

Alpha Delta Kappa Chapter 7284 of
Beta Sigma Phi held its second
meeting of the month in the home of
Beverly Patrick.
The meeting was called to order by
President Jimmie Mclntire with
members standing for the opening
ritual.
Minutes from the previous meeting
were read and approved, and the
treasurer’s report was given by
Willie Bussell.
Alpha Delta Kappa has been asked
to be in charge of the Fall Festival
Cover Girl Contest in 1986.
Also, a letter was received from
Children’s Dialysis Center, this
year’s state project. Members voted
to donate to the center.

Style.” Members were also served
apple empenadas by hostess Lisa
Bruhn.

Newcomers Club
The Newcomers Club met Tuesday,
Oct. 15,-in the home of Carolyn
Stovall.
A Tupperware party and a tour of
Mrs. Stovall’s kitchen to see how to
organize cabinets and save taste
space and waste was held.
Two guests, Susie McNeill and
Carol Rutkowski, and 15 members
including Diane Cook, Sandy Morgan,
Ruth Dormeir, Neta Morse, Marilyn
D’Lizarraga, June Morris, Barbara
Stewart, Judy Patena, Patsy Duckro,
Cindy Yant, Becky Winslow, Bonnie
Gilmer, Polly Walters, Pat Herman
and Carolyn Stovall attended the
meeting.

Pilot Club
Sulphur Springs Pilot Club
members were saddened to learn of
the Friday, Oct. 18, death of Vicki
Sullivan of Odessa, 3rd Lieutenant
Governor of Pilot International, who
made an official visit to the local
chapter Friday night, Oct. 11, at the
Woman’s Building.
During the meeting, Mrs. Sullivan
stressed to the 18 Pilot Club members
attending the importance of a
women’s service club to a com-
munity.
She also stressed the importance of
enthusiasm and working togther to
produce a strong working club.

over the business meeting during

The North Hopkins Young
Homemakers attended the Area Six
YHT meeting held Saturday, Oct. 19,
in Winnsboro.

Senior Citizens Day
Golden Anniversary

Sunday, Nov. 3, at the Woman's Building in Sulphur

The 15th annual Senior Citizens
Day was held Thursday, Oct. 3, at the
Arbala community center with 68
people attending.
The morning was spent visiting
with friends and loved ones. A basket
lunch was served at noon.
